have you ever created your own anime or manga?
Posted 4/19/12
title says it all really. an anime or manga you've actually created, not just thought up in your brain.
for me, i've created many manga's and storylines, but i always ended up throwing them away. as for anime, well i have made my own series called The Slayer, its about a faceless killer who once really did have a face =O the story starts with an investigator called Jade Chiharu hacking some data and stuff to find out who the ''Slayer's'' next victim is. so far i've only created two really short episodes:
(episode one) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exbRr-VXRME
(and episode two) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki3KENupdok (note the eye-colour change of the investigator's xD but mainly because i have overused purple on way too many of my characters)
the third episode is still in production, but i've recently been more caught up in fan-made stuff so....

so now its you guys' turn to tell me if you've made an anime or manga before! =D if you havent posted it online anywhere then feel free to just tell us what the storyline was.

also, i did search this topic up before but i didnt see it, but if i missed it then do tell.

I have not created or produced any anime or manga but I am interested. Once I get my drawing skills to an acceptable level I may create something short and sweet.. or bitter. Also, your series looks good in my opinion, keep up the great work

Yes, but based on these articles, it's an almost impossible dream for me

I always did want to make an anime similar to the manga Mx0 that would expand multiple seasons (with no fillers) someday if ever given the chance though...

Other than something similar to Mx0, I haven't even really thought about creating my own anime or manga yet. Also, not sure on manga, I'm more of an anime fan.

that is excellent! yeah, looking back at The Slayer, i cringe at my drawing skills, some of the stuff looks so embarrassing, especially the sideview of Jade xD and my voice acting is just... i cant bear it! >_<
so its a good choice that your going to wait a while before creating anything
you think? aw, thankyou so much! it means alot to me that you think its good its what a creative artist appreciates the most, heh aheh heh.

Creating something like a manga or anime takes time and determination, focus, patience. That could go for anything really come to think of it. Creativity is limitless and wonderful and anyone's talent no matter how small should be appreciated for letting their thoughts spill out to show others. With time and practice anyone can get decent at something. Now I have created ideas for manga and anime, going so far as to create basic story lines that branch out later on. Once you get that idea on paper you can think of character designs, backdrops, and other things of that nature. For example, one of my recent story ideas is about a boy trying to overcome obstacles in his life that try to tear him down and his wish to never sit on the sidelines again and watch someone he cares about get hurt. The only trouble is he has to accept and save himself for who he is, with others help of course, before he can truly save someone. Lots of sub plots that tie into the story as well and the setting helps it along. You could draw characters from anime or manga you've seen to improve your drawing skills and also develop you own style. An example is I drew Ikaros from Heaven's Lost Property. I also can't shade for my life

I got an idea for my own manga which I obviously won't reveal here of course, however I need to work on my drawing skills till I can create it and I've already taken an Animation Course at a University, so you can see that I am working towards my dream no matter how impossiple it is nor what anyone says.

Several, in fact. Some have written parts, and a few of those I have evolved over a period of 10 or so years. Also I have many character drawings for them.
