Yeah I came in on Fairy tail late and was hoping to catch up. Now however I see you only have the three newest eps. at a time then I'm assuming your deleting them right?....Well I don't pay you every month and support the anime community in these hard times for animators, to come to this site and not see that. You've already got it to were only we premium members can watch bleach and the animators have took it down from netflix I assume(since it's over) to hold it for ransom on blu ray disc? You should at least allow us premium member to see it. The only reason I pay for this service, netflix, and shonen jump is because I support our community and want it to thrive... when it's so easy to get it free.Example: Konami is shutting down yu gi oh online, a free game with only profit for them in the constant buying of cards? Your service and them are doing the same thing it's like we're throwing our money at you for a lesser service (less selection, and costs) and you don't want it....I'm dissappointed and I hope it gets better. I'll continue to support this community no matter what but it would be nice to get some support from that side...like maybe starting with a wider selection of anime and having entire animes.

From the beginning, Crunchyroll's license from the beginning has only allowed them to keep each episode of Fairy Tail for 30 days.

Would you have preferred they had said, "Heck no, that ain't going to cut it" (PG-13 filtered) and not licensed it at all?

It's not about that it's about how this service won't convince them and how the animators them self go about it. Listen I luv this community but if your okay with that then I don't understand you.....let me ask you a question....are they making the anime for themselves then?...Then why do they think so little of the fans?

I agree, Crunchyroll has done nothing to get the earlier episodes, nothing at all since they first got the license for FT.

They can't get the earlier episodes. Funimation already have the streaming rights for the first 48 episodes in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Crunchyroll and Funimation don't get along so it is highly unlikely that Crunchyroll could ever get those episodes back. The Japanese company probably intentionally did this with Fairy Tail in hopes of having an American licensor take the series and not be put off by the fact that all the episodes are available for streaming on Crunchyroll, and it worked.

With Fairy Tail one of two things probably happened. Either:

1. The Japanese company wouldn't let them have all episodes.
2. The Japanese company was asking for way too much money for all the episodes. So much that Crunchyroll could not afford it.

Either way it isn't really Crunchyroll's fault. Maybe if more people subscribed they could have got all the episodes. Right now only about 1% of active users subscribe, which is pretty pathetically low. (based on figures from a while back. could have gone up/down since then but probably not by much.)

Also something to note: The only series on Crunchyroll which have missing episodes are Fairy Tail and Bleach, and Bleach will be complete once Viz gives Crunchyroll the rest of the episodes.

So you have the offices of both Crunchyroll and the licensor bugged?

Provided you are in the United States, since they use Hulu for all the videos on their site. Also, just as with Crunchyroll, you can't watch all the episodes, as they also have the same gap of missing episodes.

Yeah but you need to be a premium member to watch the first 200 something episodes on here, how come vizanime has those first 200 for free to watch? I'm assuming maybe crunchyroll forgot to put it so normal members can watch it to? I'm a premium so it really doesn't matter..but still it bugs me CR made a mistake like that..I mean they are allowed to since they got the license from viz, so they should have the episodes for free members to.

Without a subscription to Funimation it has ads, Hulu - Does have Fairy Tail
VizAnime has ads, Hulu - note does not have Fairy Tail www.vizanime.com

The agreements Crunchyroll has for Fairy Tail is posted many many many times all over the forums. Further more if you you go to the www.crunchyroll.com/fairy-tail you will see.

"Note: Each new episode of Fairy Tail will only be available on Crunchyroll for 30 days from the date of its initial airing."

I would have to agree with what everyone else is saying. "In 2011, North American anime distributor Funimation Entertainment announced that they had acquired the first season of the ongoing series". Remember this was 2011 so there is a good chance they have gained more since then. Do you really think Funimation is going to let Crunchyroll also have this and compete directly against them? They have been in this competition for a long time now, why help the competitor. The only two companies that I know Funimation works with is Netflix and Hulu and I am going to guess there is a decent price tag to get the rights to stream them.

I am going to guess that the deal Crunchyroll has is with the Japanese distributor A-1 Pictures/Satelight or TV Tokyo to Stream the simulcast for 30 days. Another possibility is that Crunchyroll acquired the rights to simulcast Fairy Tail before Funimation had reached an agreement for the rights to the show and that agreement is still in place. There could be many reason but what we do know is that Funimation is purchasing the rights and already owns most of it in North America and who knows what other countries.

I would love to see all of Fairy Tail on here as well but if the above is the fact the only way to get all the show would be to force Funimation to give it up. Good luck with that.

That's my buck thirty on the topic. Now I am going to watch the newest episode of Fairy Tail here on Crunchyroll!!!
