It isn't as if quality determines if CR can simulcast a title or not, as that would imply CR could get any title they want for simulcast. What determines that is whether the licensor will offer it on terms that wouldn't result in a financial loss for CR. |

well, I'm still watching, since I don't hate any of the characters I can keep going to see where this leads, but I hope the main plot starts soon, bceause not only can I not wait, people are getting bitchy about it.
I just remember getting into it because of the directors comments, it looks like their gonna put their all into this or at least take it seriously so we'll see what happens. |

Ep 2:
Boring I really don't get why people like this one so much. Story > animation, and the story in this one is really lacking. |

I'm watching something _________________________________________ I have to say that the plot has been established in a manner that isn't very exciting actually 2 plots has been established whether-or-not others can see this I'm not sure but I will not be discussing that right now. _________________________________________ when people pull their heads out of their behinds they can start to really analyze this anime, this was directed towards that one person saying "this is the best anime this season" you tell me how this is the best anime this season and within your argument do not mention anything relating to animation and graphics |

Yes, it has been a slow start, but I'm ok with that so far.
There have been a few pieces of the puzzle hinted at so far: - No one knows where the old anthologies from the club are. That is rather puzzling. - The club is 40 years old, but for some reason had no members. Houtarou is persuaded to join by his sister, but why did Chitanda want to join? - Chitanda has some ulterior motive involving Houtarou. - The music room mystery from the previous episode is important. It's interesting, but not compelling. We'll see if episode 3 starts to get things moving. |

Okay guys seriously lets all admit, I was right since last week that: you're just watching something...
But in all honesty, the anime has established two premises so far: 1: chitanda's issue 2: chitanda's issue may or may not related to the school classics club How they executed these premises weren't amazing nor was it like omg............................... but none-the-less it has been established, now the anime can proceed to be good or bad. As of right now with two episodes the anime is not good nor is it bad it is just there, basically if you have the tolerance to stick with the anime will be the motivation for either rage or amazing material. Now that, that is out of the way, I would like to get to the main topic of the issue: how I was right lol jk... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What do you guys think of the anime so far? How do you think Hyouka will proceed further? How would you like Hyouka to proceed? Should the anime, have started with a bigger emphasis to : capture the audience with story rather art? or remain the same opening episodes? You can ask yourselves these questions to really critique and get a sense of how the anime is doing, and how you view certain anime(s). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A few issues I have this this anime there is a really high chance of failure, but at the same time a good chance of success. So to compare it, it isn't like some harem anime where you kinda watch and don't mind as much of what you're watching. The "stuff" you're watching out for in Hyouka isn't really clear and present, one aspect of it is: yes it is a mystery but as a viewer(audience) you still want that sense of connection with the cast and at the present moment you don't really get that connection. |

I like this anime so far even though it isn't something I would typically enjoy. Oreki kind of reminds me of myself in a way and I like the interactions between him and Chitanda. I find the mysteries to be kind of interesting even though they aren't about anything serious. Episode 3 should begin the main plot point so the mood of the anime could still change. I like the lightheartedness that the anime has now but am expecting it to get at least a little bit more serious soon. While I do like it I definitely wouldn't consider it to be a great anime as of yet but rather just something that is enjoyable to watch.

They're all better, they have a great plot and it's easy to figure out what that plot is. Even these are better: Acchi Kocchi, and this one is all about moe :P Natsuiro Kiseki, nice slice of life with a supernatural twist. Alot of fun to watch. Saki: Achiga-hen, fun to watch. Polarbear Cafe, it's about a polarbear that runs a cafe were humans and other animals(like a panda and a penguin) and it's still better xD Upotte, a lot of fun to watch, ep 1 was abit slow but was much more entertaining than ep 1 of Hyouka. So far, Hyouka has been just about plotless :P The only plot is them solving the mystery about why someone would rent a book the is unpopular and why the door was locked in the club room. In my opinion, that is crap plot. |

I totally agree with the list above for why I watch them, but I'd also add comedy elements to Acchi Kocchi to make my favorite of this season. I can't say that Hyouka is highly ranked, but I am willing to see it 'til the end. I'm not going to bother to argue that it can fail as I haven't seen a reason to believe it will. So far in eps. 1 and 2 Chitanda only mentions that she is doing things club related for personal reasons. I think the plot of this show is about that "reason for joining the Classical Club". I think the plot will be revealed in episode 3 considering how episode 2 ended and Chitanda's personal reason for joining the club. I also think Chitanda isn't quite the airhead Oriki thinks she is. I think she sees something in him that she needed to confirm in his problem solving skills before she sheds the airhead personna (I hope I'm wrong, I find the airheaddedness kinda cute about her (similar to Sig in Upotte!! she's very smart but prone to doing something stupid)). The animation is nice, but what I find more amazing is Chitanda's eyes and her ability to plead Oriki into doing just about anything. Bottom line is that Houka isn't a top tier show for me, but I think once the show finally gets into it's full swing it will be a contender for the number 3rd - 5th spot in my must watch list behind Acchi Kocchi and Upotte!!. I may have others I like more right now, but that's not the point here. One that has great animation and a very diverse story is AKB0048 that just came out with it's first episode in the past couple days. |

Really Love this anime - it's my third favourite of the currently airing animes (behind Eureka Seven Ao and Smile Precure). I really love the MOE characters design and the excellent characterization (Chitanda Eru is my favourite character in this, i love her design - a mis/match of Mio and Yui, my two favourite k-on girls)

Its just the characters that draw me to this anime so far. As with video games the visuals don't really influence whether I like something but nice animation/graphics on top of something that is already good is just something I would consider to be icing on the cake.
