Really, who could refuse those eyes? I think any hot blooded heterosexual male, lesbian, or bi would just melt and do whatever she asked of them!

Episode 4

Welcome to paradise aka the Chitanda residence:

Let one of the hardest mystery (to date) of Hyouka begin. I'm keen to seeing how Houtarou will solve this one if he's good as some people think he is.

Intermission quote:

The time when awn bear seeds

Hmm, did anyone notice the tsundere-like tendencies of Ibara this episode? Hmm, does that mean...

A lot of analysis this episode. Might have to re-watch again.

Episode 4.

YAS! I loved it.
I had to pause some scenes to fully understand what the fuck was going on.
The mystery wasn't that heavy but damn they talked a LOT!
I just know the story about the uncle didn't end there. The last part of the episode kinda gave that away.

And we still have that missing first volume.
This is really getting interesting. ♥

Yep. Houtarou fit his theory to the facts they discussed, but not all the facts. Like you pointed out, why is the first volume missing? Why would the Classics Club suppress that information? Why did Chitanda cry? And why can't she remember? Oh, and don't forget the music room from the first episode! :)

I really liked how this episode was put together. Different information and theories is what I'd expect would be the result with 4 people researching a 45 year old event that they know little about.

Overall, a good episode that builds on the ones before.

I thought the music room was already explained?
Wasn't it about a girl who was mistaken for a ghost or something?
Or maybe I just didn't get it?

Lemme think about this.

Lol nope. IDGI.

The second half of the first episode started with the story of someone playing Moonlight Sonada in the music room. Chitanda is about to get Houtarou to look into it, but instead he diverts her into looking into the secret club "mystery". During the credits, as he and Satoshi are walking home in rain, they talk about taming a mystery with a mystery. After Houtarou explains what he think happened in the music room, Satoshi tells him that it may have saved him some time now but it will cost him in the future. :)

Perhaps I'm reading too much into that.

This mystery is far from over. The line at the end of the sixth episode "so, why did I cry?", foretells that the story Oreki told at the meeting that whatever happened to Chitanda's uncle was not that civil, and was enough to make her cry before he disappeared.

I think it is just me and a few individuals that, do not find this anime good to an extent like the rest of the populous.

Possibly. That's why we are individuals and not clones. ;)

So far more people like this show than those who do not, if they do not like it they're keeping it to themselves. *hint*

In terms of the masses, if more people like said anime they are the clones... and the ones that rebel against it are the individuals.

I like your hint good sir; however in my post I don't remember or regard anything that has any relative hate towards this anime.

Wrong. Look up "Normal Distribution" or "Bell Curve".

And youre being a troll Animekami, if you dislike the show that much, why waste your time talking about a show you dislike so much? Why not go talk about something you do like... preferably elsewhere.
