I'm afraid not. I googled Hyouka and found the images I liked. The Tangle moment is my wallpaper right now.

Wrong. Look up "Normal Distribution" or "Bell Curve".

case:

_/\_ <- standard distribution if there is an equal likes and dislikes are on the node. or a binodal _/\_/\_

subcase: if 100 people get a 0 for not liking and a 1 for liking, then the majority of the bell curve would be 1,

If the majority masses have 1's aren't they the clones, however the 0's are clones as well... the only thing that the bell curve would be is skewed towards the 1's __/\ which is the case we have now.

Good point, it really is a good point why put time and effort into something you hate right?

Now, this brings up my proposition.

What makes you think I hate/dislike this anime? and How do YOU know?

See, I've been actively engaging in a discussion on the pros and cons of this anime where I've been trying to see the different perspectives of others.

Where as you just called me a "trolled" so who is trolling whom here?

By turning it into a binary question, yes you could get that distribution, though it isn't necessarily skewed towards 1. As you note, any grouping could have a label of "clones"; the term is irrelevant, and dismissive: they are all individuals.

However, making it a binary question isn't informative. There's a matter of distinction in terms of quality. This is why sites rate shows based on scales, usually 1-5 or 1-10. Once your sample size gets large enough, you can get a reasonable representation of whether or not the show is "good". Judging by ANN's accumulated data, a show's rating will exhibit the classic bell curve.

But, you obviously know that already based on your response.

And we've spent too much time discussing "clone" when it was originally intended as a joke.

AnimeKami, every comment I have seen with the exception of one, was "what the hell did I watch?" Followed by complaining and comparing it to the likes of Ozma and Guilty Crown. Your one exception (I might have missed others though) was that you thought the animation was amazing. That was my basis for claiming you don't like the show.

Which is fine, I dont really care if you dont like the show... my "youre trolling" response was directed solely at the one where you said we are all clones for liking the show. That implies that we are just liking it because its popular instead of forming our own opinions about it.

But so you dont start in with the clone business again, I will tell you why I like it:

1. Chitanda and her purple eyes.
2. The animation
3. The art style and quality. - Im an artist, anything I consider artistically awesome ranks high in my book.
4. The story is pretty neat, solving the mystery of Hyouka was a nice little romp.
5. The VAs all do an excellent job.
6. Loved the entanglement scenes.

At least they arent dragging one mystery out for 26 episodes with several filler eps. Besides Houtarou is only solving the mysteries the same way they were solved in shows like Poirot, Mrs Marple, and Murder She Wrote.

Also: Episode 5 ends the Jun Sakitani incident. It was fun containing a nifty little use of english puns hidden inside a Japanese word.

Episode 5

Well, it seems that there's no OP song, oh well. And the anthology continues...

Middle intermission quote:

When the sun grows its hottest, or the day seems to reach its longest

It also seems that the word/title of the series Hyouka is a

Quite a difficult mystery, isn't it? and to conclude:

Episode 5.

This anime is so beautiful.
It makes everything so much better!

And before the almighty AnimeKami quote me and ask me "What did you watch?",
I'm going to say it now that I didn't watch this just because of the pretty animation.

The first arc is over (?).
I loved it. The mystery wasn't all that but it was definitely entertaining!
I can't wait to see what happens next.
I mean, now that the story behind the anime title has been revealed,
what are they gonna do now?

The next episode's title caught my attention though.

And MY GAWD Houtarou is so attractive.

Still don't know what this means:
Hmmm.....

Episode 6

Ibara went tsundere this episode

Discussing the seven deadly sins huh? Let's see here there are:

- lust
- greed
- envy
- sloth (looks @ Oreki)
- gluttony
- wrath
- pride (the root of all sins)

So is Eru the perfect little angel that God has given to this series?

Intermission quote:

A prelude to the scorching days of summer

As for the case, all I have to say is LOL as that happens with me professor sometimes, well English obviously, rarely math.

Looks like next episode is a trip to the onsen which means fan-service and more purple eyes than ever

I was laughing at Houtaru's comment, "I thought I have found my soulmate." I'm pretty sure she is, buddy. I like how he's fascinated and can't figure Chitanda out. It's not the physical attraction like most animes, but rather an interesting mind game.

The bottom part of the episode doesn't show the niece of time anymore. I'm pretty excited what this arc will be about.

I liked the chibi Chitanda's better. That was hysterical how they were all saying her catch phrase. :)

Also, the book Oreki was reading was titled "Summer's Disaster". Foreshadowing?
