Also, the book Oreki was reading was titled "Summer's Disaster". Foreshadowing?

Maybe so will have to wait and see. I know there's something else I'll be really looking forward to seeing though

Chitanda is so cute... I wish she were real. The Chbitandas were cute, but I like the Entanglements better. :)

Interesting thoughts on the deadly sins. Like the old saying from the bible, everything in moderation. Without lust we wouldnt be a live today because our parents wouldnt have gotten all horny.

Oh, you mean The CTM?

They are the deadly sins precisely because they aren't in moderation.

Just what does Chitanda see?? ;)

They are deadly sins because the Catholic church didnt like competition. Ever notice how much wealth they have (greed) how many fat clerics they have (gluttony), or heard of those stories about priests and nuns banging uglies (lust). lol The Crusades were started by the Church (wrath) to take Jerusalem from the Muslims (envy)... then they embody the vice of sloth in the form of convents and monasteries. And finally Pride, because they decided it was their way or the highway (forced conversions and numerous other terrors because people didnt agree with them).

Guilty dogs bark first. lol

I'm not trying to start a religious argument, I posted the above more tongue-in-cheek rather than as troll-bait. No offense intended.

Okay, I'm caught up on the most recent episode ogf this show and I'm sorry to ask this but, Why is this show so freaking boring?
I love Mystery Animes (Well some of them anyways), but this show is pathetic.
I mean the whole mystery of "Oh gee, why was the Math Teacher wrong?", are you kidding me? That's the big mystery of the episode? They spent approximately, 15 to 20 minutes solving why a Math Teacher made a ridiculous mistake? It wasn't even interesting in the slightest!

I have to ask now, cause I'm assuming that there are people here who read the manga for this show or something, are all the mysteries in this show like this? I mean the show was minorly entertaining near the beginning now it's just annoying and/or boring. I just want to know if the rest of the mysteries in this series are as pathetic as the most recent episode cause if so I want to know so I can stop watching this show.

Honestly the only reson I've watched this show is because I like the main character and I honestly feel bad for him in having to deal with most of the people he's forced to deal with in the show. Is everybody in this show just that stupid except for him?

Ugh... Just, that episode was so terrible... and now that I'm thinking about it the whole mystery of the girls Uncle was lackluster in it's own way. Why do the mysteries have to be so stupidly simple and boring? High school kids can go investigate something more interesting. I'm sure there's some robbery or murder they could attempt to figure out. I mean come on.

Hyouka is about as realistic as I've seen so far. Every episode isn't a murder mystery and involves things that anyone can face. Apply the latest episode to your high school when one teacher has a mental breakdown in the class you happen to be in. I think it's a fair question to ask why did he do that and understand (somewhat) from the teacher's point of view. It's still hard to think of your teacher the same way when you see them go nuts right in front of you.

I love the feel of this. And the characters seem interesting enough. o v o
AND THE ARTWORK OMG.
Besides, it's unique. Unlike that regular shoujo cliche stuff that's popular for no apparent reason.

Rezzy, this is whats known as slice-of-life. It bores the hell out of a lot of people apparently. Personally, SOL (lol) is one of my most favourite tropes. This is about highschool kids solving mysteries that normal highschool kids would have. You want supernatural adventure themes, you will have to look elsewhere. Sorry.

I have to admit though, that the first time Chitanda's hair wrapped around whatshisface, I thought there was going to be magic or ghosts or something involved, but then figured out it was his imagination going batshit. lol I still love it though.

#7 was cute and funny. Mayaka's little sisters were adorable too. There were no Entanglement scenes all we got was a words across Chitanda's face which Im guessing translated to "Im curious" since Mazui didnt translate it.

Episode 7

The onsen episode!

You can expect fan-service, mystery, and those purple eyes. I think Oreki is either thinking too much or not at all especially with this:

Thank you God and and KyotoAnimation

Intermission quote:

When the air of autumn starts to rise.

A mystery also in this episode so watch out for that. Anyways, glorious animation and my entertainment level was satisfied.

I expected much more fanservice from Ep 7.
Guess not. Dammit. One of the instances where I actually wanted fanservice. D:

I LOVE how he can't say no to her. It's make me chuckle when she says "I can't stop thinking about it!" and her eyes glow and he folds like wet paper.
