i will have someone calculate how much my parents have spent on me up to this very day. pay that person, start a business, pay my parents back for whatever amount that is, and if i still owe them, i will pay them regularly with what i will be earning in my own business.
im just tired of being treated like i owe them forever.

People don't have kids and then expect their kids to pay them back when they start being able to support themselves. Essentially you will pay them back later anyway, when they become old, have lots of medical expenses and are retired. Do you want them to become dependent on you when they are old and gray AFTER you feel your debt to them is already paid? No of course not, wait until then.

Reminds me of when I offered mine to do just that. Not a good result, wouldn't recommend.

well i know the first thing that i would do.

Probably pay off wife's student loans, maybe pay off mortgage, give a few nice large gifts to my selected charities, invest rest for future (child, retirement, whatever unforeseen events).

I would just continue to work as I always have, just put it in the bank and forget about it. A millions dollars isn't really all that much, but it would be nice to have some free cash |
