^^^^^^^^^^ Most likely no. I'm not sure how much you spend on magazines at Kinokuniya, but while Amazon Japan shipping is fast, it is also very expensive. For example, every month I order Shonen Ace, 4Koma Nano Ace and Dengeki Daioh. From Amazon Japan it would cost roughly $70 ($50 of it being shipping). I order my magazines from Akadot (has a good selection, but quickly sells out), which is based in LA, and I get the same magazines for about $42 ($6 shipping). Amazon is a good fall back place, but unless you are buying bulk, it wont be worth it. Also, until now Ive never heard of Kinokuniya before. However after looking at their selection, I'll definitely be ordering some books from them in the future. It doesn't appear they sell magazines on their website; out of curiosity, how much do they sell magazines for? |

I own all of the Ika Musume manga that's out to this date, all in Japanese. I can't read them, but i just wanted to own them so bad. I'll probably buy them again, if someone decides to translate the series.

Kinokuniya's magazine prices comes out to be about close to double the Japanese price with shipping (e.g. 780 yen = $15 or so). I have a membership ($20/year) which gives me a 10% discount on everything in the store. However, I buy the magazines from a physical store so I am not sure about ordering from them online.

I bought some from YesAsia, in fact my recent order just shipped today. They have free shipping with orders over $39 and you can pay with PayPal. Book prices are normal compared to the English editions.
I only buy Manga that isn't being translated into English. I can't read Japanese really, but I get them for art study and I love the pictures. <3 |

I have some, but alas, my favorite place to get them (JPQueen) is no more. So now I'm kinda stuck at cons where a few vendors bring a few, and I peruse their selection.

Yeah I've ordered them from Amazon.jp, and they come with the promo stuff if it's a new item
I buy them generally for the magazine itself, but sometimes the promo item also persuades me heh. The shipping costs are pretty huge though |

I would probably if I found one that looked cool in a store while shopping, but I doubt I ever will find a Japanese manga in a store here in the states.

Here are a few others if anyone is looking for some other places to get comics in Japanese.
http://global.rakuten.com/en/category/books/comics/ http://www.yesasia.com/us/en/japanese-comics.html http://www.jbox.com/category/803 (some parts of the site are 18+) http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/indexohb.cgi?AREA=03 (good if you have some minimal Japanese skill) |
