I don't think this is a duplicate topic but feel free to take it down if it is or if I have violated some other rule.

I've been on CR for about two months now. I've had lots of fun and watched lots of good anime, however I often wondered why so few new topics were posted. I believe I have the answer. It's because if you post a new topic people will go over it with a fine tooth comb looking to see if it breaks any rules no matter how small. I posted a topic last night and it was reported because the topic wasn't phrased correctly. A nice moderator rephrased the question and it's still there. Honestly are we on Jeopardy? Must I phrase my answer in the form of a question or in this case make sure I don't put an "I" in the topic because "that's a personal thread and against the rules."

The very first topic I ever posted was reported to a moderator. I had been a member about ten minutes and wanted to post something to say hello. It turns out my topic was a duplicate of a topic that no one had replied to in over three years. Once again a nice moderator made some changes and let my topic stay up. I'd like to state that it's not the moderators I have the problem with but the people who try to find a reason to report me.

Are we not here to have fun and talk about the hobby we all have in common? Can I not make a post without first making sure it doesn't break any of the 250 rules regardless of how minor a breach of the rules it is? When any of you post anything I don't go looking for a reason to report you. Unless you do something way out of line like threaten someone I have no intention of reporting any of you. If your post violates article 26 paragraph 8 of the Posters Handbook I could really care less. Write what you want, have fun. At the end of the day it's just something we all do to pass the time.

Good Night and Good Luck,

Chris

You still haven't told me what happens when you wear blue sunglasses and see someone with a yellow aura.

I've never worn blue sunglasses so I don't know.

You really aren't taking the best out of your superpower of seeing rainbow people.

Have you thought about using it to manipulate people?

I wouldn't call it a super power. For all I know it's some brain abnormality that causes it and no I don't like manipulating people as I hate being manipulated myself.

Weaker people are there to be taken advantage of.

So in the first ten minutes a new member shouldn't post anything because they might break the rules? So much for a warm welcome. If people have so much time to police the forums perhaps they might think about why it is that they do this. Me I don't have time for that. I work forty hours a week, have a sick father who often needs help or someone to talk to, the lawn needs mowing at least once a week if not more and then I have to sit down and go over the bills for the month. When I come here I just want to have fun and relax. I also find it strange that someone will report you for phrasing a question wrong but there are a whole host of trolls here who call people names all day long and yet never get reported. I guess I'm too old for this sort of thing.

Amen, and have had the same experience here with everything I try to post. On a side note, I just reported you for taking my rant before I could post it.
