Whenever I hear/see the word "prom" I think of "prawn." They sound so similar. The association cannot be separated.

I guess I could put it in this way as well: I thought I was going with a person that I would've enjoyed prom with.. but that wasn't the case once we actually went to prom. Did that make sense? :|

She didn't put out, huh?

I never went to mine. Had two chances and decided all the money I'd have to spend to attend it had better use elsewhere :]

That and I hated all the people in my school.

Haha, great times indeed!
My 11th grade year of prom, our theme was boat. . . Literally... we were on a boat for like 5 hours xD! If I remembered correctly, the DJ actually played the T-pain song "I'm On A Boat" almost 40 or 50 times -.-... I can't believe no one got thrown over because we had quite the ghetto crowd O.O
Our 12th grade year of prom was a little different. The principal hired a couple of people from "Cirque Du Soleil." They're basically an amazing circus group that perform dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment. The entire time at prom, there was circus acts being performed as we danced to the music. People were climbing walls and shiz >_> It was very entertaining but at the same time, there was a constant fear of someone falling on us

I regret going to my prom. I unfortunately found out at the prom that my date use to go out with my friend's date (who is a female). Long story short, I ended up chatting it up with my friend while our two dates ditched us to go be together. It was a crying shame and the worse part is I'm not sure whether I was more upset about the fact that I got duped or the fact the that she left me for another woman.

Went with a friend, ate, danced, arm was stuck in a 90 degree angle that night due to bad training methods... Had highlighted hair... rode a limo for the first time, went walking on the beach with our group of friends at the time after prom... That was pretty much it, nothing exciting.

Ugggh, I went to my Junior prom with a friend who conveniently ditched me halfway through. There was a terrible storm, the lights ended up going out, the roof started leaking and we heard trees falling in near proximity to the building. People were panicking and my friends I came with decided we should get the heck out of dodge. We barely made it out of the drive back to the main road. The next day we heard that a tornado had come through that area directly after we had left...it had taken down a ton of trees across that road and noone could leave until the next day. Glad we left when we did.
I don't even remember the theme to the prom...it was that forgetable.

I haven't had my prom yet but it seems to me that it would be boring. I went to 2 school dances in my old school and I ended up sitting in the corner for both, so I can't see prom being any different. The only things I heard about prom from people is about them getting drunk, renting rooms, and partying after. Which as you can tell is not for my certain group of friends.

Though my friends did tell me that if I don't go to prom that I would forever regret not going. ...Sadly, I can't see that happening ever in the future lol.

Oh, good memories haha. Late 90's early 2000's, was pretty kickass.

I remember all the guys wanting to look like Mark McGrath and the hundreds of other male celebs with that highlighted hair, K-Swiss shoes, carpenter jeans or cargo khaki pants, Swiss watch, popped collar A&F polos. XD

My prom memories are...playing Morrowind and Halo all night at a friends house (literally a 2 min walk from the school)! Ppl do shit like prom simply because it's expected in todays society.
