I live in what they call "Tornado alley". And honestly, it sucks ass.

I mean im all for living on the wild side of life, but from january to about july I have to worry about me, or my family being killed or maimed by the 3 or 4 tornado sightings we have daily, and it seems year by year they get closer..and closer..and closer.. to the urban area I live in. Last year a tornado stuck within a mile of my home, took a couple houses with it and killed off 13 people WHILE SLEEPING. Yes, these fuckers know no manners, they even pop up during the night time, where you will most likely wake up to being crushed rather than the tornado sirens. Not to mention when the thunder storms are above your house, theyre so strong that everytime there is a thunderclap your entire house shakes like there's a earthquake. And ofcourse there's the rock sized hail, power outages, and huge tree branches and debris (or trees for that matter) that will impale most walls (and you) like a hot knife through butter.

I'd rather deal with earthquakes than tornados.

Eh, Life can be a bitch. But.. she makes happy when I wake up to her every morning.. So im not complaining.

I hate NYC. I race to my house in the backwoods of Northeast PA on the weekends.

<- Not a city person.

I love my house up in the mountains. It's the most peaceful place I know. There are 7 miles of forest behind my house, I live on a dead end street, and it's located 15 miles from town.

Some days in late summer, early fall, it gets so quiet outside that your ears ring from the silence.

I enjoy where I live, by the water. The front yard is within walking distance to the ocean and the backyard is within walking distance to the river. Both great for fishing.

I live in a cul-de-sac area here. I never liked this neighborhood since our neighbors are noisy and disrespectful. When we first moved here in mid-2009, someone next door would peek through our windows and try to watch us.

Also, a lady a few houses ahead of mine was murdered in 2010, which made me even more afraid for me and my family to stay here. I want my mum to move, but we don't have enough funds for everything and have not found a home she'll like to transition to. =__=
