Why would anyone want a convertible with 4 seats? Convertibles belong on sport cars and If you complain about being practical maybe you should just get a 2nd "practical" car if you know you are gonna have more passengers or just don't get a sports car.... I just don't see the reason a sport car should have 4 seats. So two seater convertible ftw...

Your solution is to do what I'm doing - get an s.u.v. and a convertible. Don't have the convertible as your daily driver for school/work, It saves you a ton on your car insurance by switching to Geico j/k!

Well, I have the SUV just need the convertible. Deciding make and model is hard. I've been told to get a second used certified convertible would be best. I do know what I would like with my convertible: Cherry red with hard top, black leather interior, GPS, cell integration, side mirrors heated with wipers, driver and passenger independent temperature control with heated seats. Think that is it – oops almost forgot laser for those slow pokes on the fast lane (ha).

But seriously, do you actually used the extra storage with your four seater? Do you normally have more than yourself in your convertible?

S2000 if u like power
Miata if u want just a whatever car
BMW ci if u want to show off
That' goes for Audi and Mercedes, but personally i would get s2k

I had a convertible mustang before. Fun but around corners the Japanese cars feel so much nicer.

S2k - Fun to drive, its like a go kart, power not so much... maybe if you just like that acceleration from 0-75ish.
A Miata isn't a w/e car... have you ever driven 1? The handling on that little car is unrated... I used to bash on the Miata myself calling it a girls car or just a car a poormans midlife crisis sport car.
Love the euros, would never buy a used sports car though.

How can you say s2k is a go kart and miata is a great car?
miata is not as stiff as the s2k which I will agree on the go kart part
but however s2k and miata compared I would get s2k. I 'm not bashing on miata. I had a miata. I also had a s2k and 350z.
I driven my freinids BMW (not convertible) so I would know what i'm talking about

edit
Miata is fine, corner and all. closest to a 50/50 . but when you want power it's just not there. S2k not only has the power, the vtech make it sound very attracting.
this was based when all the car was new. s2k is now alot older so I can't say it was the same as it was when it was brand new.

Never said miata is a "great" car. There is a reason why it is still produced... not to say the s2k isn't great I personally think it's a really fun car, just a bit overrated, and s2k being powerful depends on what is your definition of power. If you say the s2k is powerful cause of its acceleration from a stop then indeed it is a pretty powerful car that shits on any stock miata. No high end power what so ever though.
I see you're from the bay as I am myself Valzoa and I am sure you have seen your fair share of douchebag kids revving or trying to race pointless races in city streets around, which I guess makes me feel a bit bitter about anything involving s2ks. s2k - pretty great bang for your buck sports car ruined by dumb spoiled kids.

that is why i quoted miata as a "whatever" car. it's not meant for drag race if you have some kid coming up next to you trying to race, which is a major con. you want to go into a corner a s2k can match it , but the tires are too costly.
I personally do not think it's overrated for s2k. here's my reason:

its a 4 cylinder engine that produce around 240 hp.
at the time 7 years ago it's one of the most powerful car for it's 2.0 liter engine
it can match a 350z
yes I know 0 -80 is pretty easy on the guy but at top speed of course it will lose out to mustang and 350, both of them are 6 cylinder, which means they can produce HP in the long run.
so a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter that can match with a 3.5 liter inline 6 engine...that's pretty impressive dont you think?

yes I have tested the s2k vs a 350 , I DID win against the guy for a short period of time, long run I would lose I'm not ashamed of the fact that I lose at top speed because its NSA with no turbo or supercharger.

I would still have had my s2k if I did not wreck it so I do know what you mean.
I do revv my engine like those stupid kids on the block, but that's only to stupid people who thinks their little car can go around cutting me off
