It was awesome. I really wasn't expecting much when I was going to see it, but it turned out to be fantastic. I left the theater wanting to see it again!

a Billion dollars

damn

Warner Brothers must be looking at this and shaking their heads trying to figure out why they can't do this well with DC's heroes.

DC has some great characters, and most of them have been really well done when they do Cartoons with them. Batman, Superman, the Justice League and JLU animated series were fantastic and Young Justice is doing pretty well in it's own too.

But 9 times out of 10 they just can't seem to do them right when they try to do live action Movies or TV

Must be kicking themselves for turning down Weadon's proposal for a Wonder Woman series

I believe DC can reach the same level of success, it all falls upon what the studio can come up with in terms of finding the right producer, writers and director to make a blockbuster.

Every movie with aliens invading, the aliens always get their ass kicked from earthlings loool.
Shouldnt the aliens who can space travel have power to shield from nukes and stuff?

But overall the movie was awesome!!!

Now we shouldn't ignore the role Marketing played in all this.

They were building this movie up slowly for what 4 years now. Ever since that first "after-Credits" scene in the first Iron Man film they have been weaving teasers for this film into everything they put out.

4 years of building the anticipation for this film left only two possible outcomes. Dismal failure or Blockbuster success.

even so.... It's kind of a runaway freight train of money now isn't it.

I pity anything that gets released in the next couple of weeks

and Batman and Spider-Man have got a nasty hurdle to clear.

The only true success DC has had is with Nolan's Batman movies. "The Dark Night" had the 3rd largest opening box office:

Plus it it is still 3rd domestically for all time gross, and 12th worldwide.

But "The Dark Knight" is the exception in DC's mess. They still haven't figured out that people want a good story with good characters. Effects aren't going to save a bad movie. And that's why Marvel is beating DC so badly at the movies.
