As a studying Chinese historian, I would have to say "Yes". We cannot judge the government based on this one action and it is important to remember that, in China, things work differently. How the government reacted is traditional to Communist protocol. Although low functioning, the Party must respond to the United States aiding a labeled man (in this case a blind lawyer) as inappropriate and going contrary to their ambitions. Slowly, the Chinese government has begun to weaken and thus they must "bite hard" on those countries (specifically the US) the are further weakening them. So in response to this question, we cannot look at current events but rather understand them in the context of the past few years. China needs the US to move into forward in their pursue of increased GDP then the US needs China for exporting purposes (in general).

Better trust at least somewhat in the fact that they have a real monopoly of control over much of the world's supply. They have a great deal of discipline and methods for this day and age. Trust in their wisdom, trust in the power of the East.

I don't really trust any government. Those in power do what's in their best interest. Power corrupts and eventually and governments start using their citizens rather than governing them.

In this world we have 2 kinds of products. The good quality and the Chinese quality.

China can't live without capitalism anymore. Too many mouths to feed.

Haha!!! Too bad for the hooker and the man who took advantage of her that they were morally impoverished, but could likely have known no better.

It was actually my friend who paid a hooker for a blowjob several years ago and she ran away while shouting "rape" over and over. He was a nutjob anyway, I remember him telling me he had ran over a hooker and I hadn't doubted him even for a second.

That's hilarious. She could actually win her case in court, except for the prostitution.

Humor is how the thinking person reacts to the world.
