I'm gonna assume that was a sarcasm remark.

Politics isn't about helping others, it's about power. It's about getting power, maintaining power. People constantly complainabout politicians being corrupt, about the system not working, yet people buy into politicians and do nothing about it. If you don't like the system do something about it. If your to afraid of the consequences of doing something, then accept that you are your governments bitch.

Politics is maintaining and strengthening your own position and influence while weakening the opposition. Religion and morals has no place in governing a state unless they serve your purpose. In other words, politics is nothing more than a euphemistic term for control and manipulation of the rich and the powerful.

Since you said no, congrats to yourself on proving why america is in the sad state it is in today.

And before you even respond, do note that I happen to be black myself and I didn't vote for the guy. It had more to do with polices than race, okay?

Something tells me this won't be the last I hear from you.....

Politics are the same everywhere, someone trying to grab power while they are alive so they feed you stuff they think you want to hear to try to persuade you into voting for them... There's no consequences except the possibility of not being elected for a second term if they don't follow through with their campaign "promises". Also the standard citizen does not give two shits about the issues debated... I mean... Google "Mexico's Presidential Debate". They only thing you will see is some crap about a playboy model that was walking the box around to decide who would go first... Most of the stories don't even mention any of the key points to the debate... Just claiming that this Playboy model upstaged the whole process.

I consider myself Conservative and I have enjoyed quite a bit of non-missionary sex with non-white women. I'm pretty sure one of them was bi, as well. Your theory must be flawed.

Also, I think Liberals love hard workers...where else are they going to get all that tax money?

While I don't believe the average American has much say in government anymore I guess as far as my beliefs I'm more of a liberal. I think gays should be able to marry, religion should not dictate law and that America does need a system such as welfare to help those in need. That being said...

While I believe things like welfare and food stamps should be there for people needing them I also believe too many people take advantage of the system. I have the misfortune of having to deal with one of these people in my life. The guy is 47 years old, won't hold a job and knows every charity organization out there. He's perfectly healthy with no reason not to be able to work but he sits at home instead. When the going gets rough he contacts churches, food banks and social services in order to get his bills paid and fill his belly. I have a fantasy of dropping him off at a Republican convention with a sign around his neck that reads "Slacker, please give me a free hand out."

I think cloning Theodore Roosevelt and putting him into office for a few years would solve all of America's problems.

I mean, could you imagine Big Stick Politics with nuclear weapons? That 'ol rough rider would be supreme leader of earth in a week I bet.

Teddy Roosevelt, radioactive ghost Emperor aside, we should at least resurrect the Bull Moose Party.

All the republicans care about these days days is maintaining power for its own sake and all the Democrats care about is finding new ways to roll over for the republicans, all in order to preserve some long dead notion of American unity and compromise. Politics today isn't about whats best for the country. It's about winning, and beating them, because they are not us.

It's full of lies and corruption of course. I'm not even sure if there's been at least one honest, noble politician that fulfilled their promise after making a pretty speech to reel in votes and win.
