I consider myself Conservative and I have enjoyed quite a bit of non-missionary sex with non-white women. I'm pretty sure one of them was bi, as well. Your theory must be flawed.

Also, I think Liberals love hard workers...where else are they going to get all that tax money?

Well what I'm trying to get at is most of us average americans sit somewhere in the middle, but in elections we're forced to choose between one of two extremes. Neither party has all the answers but we have to pick a side. I'd like a more fiscally responsible and confident president than obama but, but I would also like for gays to have marriage rights and for separation of church and state to be upheld. Politics are just depressing.

I like the idea of politics (at it's core) but I dislike the fact that it has become a circus for modern media to make money off of.

To clarify, so little focus is spent on the politics and politicking that it's almost meaningless compared to the focus on "He said X therefore his entire party thinks X" and all the shit slinging, which results in a separate breed of politics... entertainment-politics, which would be the viewing and using of politics for entertainment rather than the betterment of a population of people.

@PumeHana92: good 1, that sums it up well. This thread exists over in Extended Discussions but your posters are more direct, less wordy. My generation, sad to say, is screwing your generation as far as theoretical debt accumulation pay off or pay down is concerned. I used to see bumper stickers on higher end vehicles driven by folks as aged as I currently am that proclaimed "I'm spending my baby's or grand baby's inheritance" and I always felt it to be ironic albeit trite. Today, truth in advertising (now, there's an oxymoron) on any political ad would suggest "I'm spending my grand baby's money now and I'm never going to pay it back."

I've listened to all sorts of rhetoric and conjecture over time. Some pundits hit near the mark; others are full of bull manure. In the US the Boomers have peaked on spending for or on themselves and are presently having to prepare for their aging years. Some economists recognize this trend and suggest this is the lynch pin behind the downturn in taxation revenues on goods and services while others point toward different indicators of economic sensitivities responsible for our collective fiscal delinquency.

I don't know what the future portends. During my previous youthful cynical years the mantra "Figures lie, liars figure" seemed an appropriate adage about the state of US politics, certain corporate and union decisions. It has always been a tumultuous process throughout our history as a country. We're are at crossroads again and the 2012 election outcome will predict, for better or worse, which course of action we choose. I'm hoping it will be liberty over tyranny as we're in a soft tyranny state of existence now.

Ooooh my gosh. Can I marry this post? PR (pub radio) just had a topic a few weeks ago on SSecurity and how it's utterly failing and how they're trying for a "cut-off" age. Geeh, thanks. I could have put thousands of dollars towards my own retirement in the meager years I've started working.

I'm sooo nervous about this election and feeling kind of hopeless, in all honesty. This will probably make or break the US.... seriously. **sad face**

Restore the constitution. Let the treasury create currency WITHOUT INTEREST ((baby swimming in pool reaching for dollar)) instead of going to a BANK to get a LOAN that has INTEREST on it. Every dollar belongs to the Federal Reserve. They don't create enough dollars for the debt to ever be paid back. Sure fiat currency has created a tremendous work force, but the force must keep working. If we aren't going to work on a society that will take care of everyone that is just a waste of time. ((i'm from america but unless every person on the planet is fed before i die i have failed)).

You fellows are the solution as a former CIA agent posted, seeking the truth and blogging about it will create an outwards intelligence agency. No wrong will go un-noticed if the work is put in. Your job is to learn history, learn recent past and keep up with the present. Do not sit back watching anime and expect the eye at the top to build your ideal society.

At the very least if you live in america you can vote for Ron Paul. Rock=Power Paper=$ Scissors=Intelligence Don't let the bankers play golf whilst you sweat in the coal mines.
