Politics is a grand stage for theatre, conveying the illusion of choice and freedom to the average citizen when really it's no better than a rigged reality tv show.

Don't go into politics if you want to save your soul and your sanity.

Right now with the elections for 2012 going on I can not stand politics. It caters to the rich as they feed us average people BS about how they are going to make it better for us when all they want is to sit in the spotlight, get paid, and do jack >_> I believe Obama is doing a good job with the pile of Poop he walked into, but honestly all that money on running/campaigning could be put toward better use such as our...Idk $15 Trillion national debt? Makes me sick how the rich are allowed to doge taxes while the middle class is dwindling. Our economy sucks, no if, ands or butts. Something needs to change, and the sad thing is that people are against change.

That's my 2 cents. Sorry if it seems rash, but that is how I feel right now. I know some people do good in this government, but I have to questions the system when it takes 4 years until a man starts paying for his crimes (Blagojevich).

Yay, I graduated college!!! What do you mean there are no jobs?

IS IT TRUE??? ANIME WATCHERS ARE SLIGHTLY MORE "CONSERVATIVE" THAN "LIBERAL"??

Or am I just reading into this a little more than I should be?

A necessary evil I'm afraid. I read up on the candidates, their history and associations, voting record, etc. and make a decision on who I think would be best, or at the very least not as damaging as the other choices.

I also donate regularly to my own pet special interest groups.

I consider myself a militant moderate. Aggressively defending my right to be middle of the road on most issues.

I consider myself Conservative and I have enjoyed quite a bit of non-missionary sex with non-white women. I'm pretty sure one of them was bi, as well. Your theory must be flawed.

Also, I think Liberals love hard workers...where else are they going to get all that tax money?

While I don't believe the average American has much say in government anymore I guess as far as my beliefs I'm more of a liberal. I think gays should be able to marry, religion should not dictate law and that America does need a system such as welfare to help those in need. That being said...

While I believe things like welfare and food stamps should be there for people needing them I also believe too many people take advantage of the system. I have the misfortune of having to deal with one of these people in my life. The guy is 47 years old, won't hold a job and knows every charity organization out there. He's perfectly healthy with no reason not to be able to work but he sits at home instead. When the going gets rough he contacts churches, food banks and social services in order to get his bills paid and fill his belly. I have a fantasy of dropping him off at a Republican convention with a sign around his neck that reads "Slacker, please give me a free hand out."

I also agree that gays should be able to marry and that this shouldn't even be an issue, because all American citizens are protected under the 14th Amendment that no state shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property. 100% should religion not dictate laws nor should they be a factor in who gets elected and welfare should be there for those who are in actual need.

Since the US government has no place with religion other than protecting your right to it I think it would be obvious a marriage as viewed by the government is not religious. It is just a contract. On that note, what right does anyone have to interfere in what contracts two adults decide to enter into?

Hi, there, Guys and Gals, Boys and Girls, Buckaroos and Buckarettes. Here's a you tube site for all to enjoy no matter which side of the political spectrum you identify with. Have U become suspicious listening to NPR verbalisms or R U harboring ill-concerns toward MSNBC's declining sense of objectivity? Fear not! OMG, even Conservatives have a sense of humor...who knew?

At last, an alternative to SNL, NBC, ABC, CBS, even Fox News slants. Yippee! LOL -_^

I'm pretty sure all of us young folks here are liberal. As long as anyone has a job they start bitching about taxes. 50% of the country pays nothing. regular people pay 97%. I'm still more on the liberal/democratic side since we HAVE to tax the wealthy, IDC if they create jobs; The rich will be richer, and poor will be...poorer?

Color, race, whatever he is; he is clever with his words: all you hear is fair, and equal. Obama says he's striving for all of that, but really he can't even convince congress! and the economy is bad? we're barely at a slow speed of contraction. Until we get to the point of a trough, then we can start worrying about people starving, etc. You have something to eat; and I've noticed that Americans don't take advantage of what they have until they loose it. Until people die, then Obama better get off his seat and convince congress.

I actually like politics. If everyone was more involved (to some extend), understood what was going on AND not be misinformed, then alot could be done.

I thought like you once.

I wish that what you say is true, I really, truly do and I tried to give it a chance. But the reality is very far from what we were raised to believe. That the average citizen's voice matters and makes a difference.

Americans are morons.

Sadly that is true for 95% of us. It's the 5% (yes I went there) like myself that is fully aware of what is really going on in this country. Stupidity is the norm, common sense is on life support, and that 95% cannot put 2+2 together. All with a little help from the media, entertainment industry, and of course...the government.

The last thing anyone wants to do with me in this thread is start a political conversation. Trust me, I've made more enemies than friends on the internet for my views.
