I wasn't that observant while watching it but im sure there must have been several subliminal messages throughout the series. And is that message supposed to be Want some Pussy?

i was to busy lmao at the sarcasm like some of the other posters on thread to really look at the sublimal messages in the anime, but "this is where it splits" was a pretty funny quote that might have a message if you think about it pertaining to that episode

that citation was just food for a thought

no harm done in solving the easy puzzle, although that comment was just flashed on a tilecard for less than one second, i wonder how many people actually saw it happen =/

Another one i really want to decipher is the lyrics superimposed on Träumerei...havent figured it out yet :S any suggestions anyone???

•EDIT• : The reason i dint post the meaning of the given riddle was, because it would become inappropriate...oh well, it dosent violate the mandatory restriction of being PG-13

The show has got some message hidden underneath. It has some meaningful things but overly exaggerated that's why i watch to have a laugh mostly.
Like when he shouts 'I'm in despair' due to all those certain factors. Perhaps those factors are like a lesson to ppl. E.g in 1st season ep 7 part b which i distinctly remember n laugh like mad due to the hyping of anything into idols. In fact the real world has ppl over-obssess with idols also.

And basically Nozomu always stress the downside and harsh reality of life.

confused!?!?!?!?!?

read the title please

Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei no IQ at all....

just from this small incomplete phrase, laden with numerous grammatical errors, i can deduce that you have:

•copied the title and pasted it in your post, since while typing english, many dont tend to use phonetic letters or special characters, and since you are from malaysia, there is no chance that you would have a ' ō ' key, unless you have imported your keyboard from northern europe or you are affluent with alt-chars
•Inference : you tend to skip out on the meaning of what a title actually says...instead you just read a title and jump to the most obvious conclusion, which in this case is, filled with misunderstandings.

weird story....
don know what the story...

where do i even begin...

•in the first phrase you brand the anime of having a "wierd" story, then you go saying that you "don(t) know what the story (is)". why dont you make up your mind, about what you really feel? =/
•Inference : it is very obvious that both of the statements are incorrect to some extent. it does not have a wierd story nor does it have an unidentified storyline, it is just that you dint 'understand' it. that would make the most sense, maybe...

don have plot....

i sure hope all you watch are not flashy action series, well if you do watch them, then watch them in a brightly lit room and sit away from the screen

•the series does have a plot, maybe unlike the regular anime arcs, but it is about a pessimist and his pessimistic approach on life. moreover, MOST animes belonging to the 'slice of life' genre dont have a steady or definite plot. thats what makes them so unique compared to your everyday anime.

confused!?!?!?!?!?

...
...
is that a question or an exclamation? is it meant for me/the readers or is it meant for you? no idea, so i`m not going to elaborate on it with the uncertainty factor.
I dont mean to harass you, but i really urge you to read the thread titles and then state you discussion. after all, you dont walk into a library and tell the librarian, "i hate books, there are only books here, i dont even know what books are, i am perplexed..."

Coming back to the original topic, You guys can watch : [Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei]; Episode 3; count-13:40
It got Sensei and the stalker doing the "Fusion-Ha" from Dragon-Ball Z

what i find so successful about the series is that there are no filler episodes, and each scenario has deep meaning. they're either lessons or universal human flaws that are pointed out. i'm one to pause at every flash of long 'random' text pertaining to the subject, and find that some of the funniest jokes are right there. you really do have to pay attention to everything on the screen to catch easter eggs and subliminal messages... and i did see the pant some wussy part, lol. one of the most recent things i found funny was the text in episode 4 (i believe) of season 2 where it says, 'Hard Gay being hard gay'. i'm not totally sure why that one stands out so much, but possibly because it is a popular cultural reference. there are several of these references throughout the series, but that's just one that recently caught my eye, because it was so subtle. i loved the end of evangelion reference in that episode also, because that's my favorite movie...

anyway, that's enough from me for a while. carry on.

Most jokes in sayonara zetsubou sensei are facts in life that we're embarassed about or things in life we're afraid to admit to ourselves cause it reflect some of us but due in nozumu and his students exaggerated usage on that it becomes funny for us.
