What have you fixed?

Tell us any problem that was impossible or really difficult to mend. HDMI connector was fully operational after my attentive and arduous repairs.

Ahh so what have you salvaged that was deemed impossible or a waist of time?

I've fixed a psu even though that's one thing in a computer that you should never, ever fix you should always replace them. I jus ttook a soldering gun to it and used my epic leet skills and owned it into submission.

My computer was overheating this morning when showing multimedia videos for my students. I put it in the freezer for 30 minutes and now it works perfect.

You should never put you laptop (game console) in your refrigerator or freezer to cool down its temperature
The moist and condensation will damage the key components in your laptop (game console).
I just thought i should mention it if it wasn't too obvious.

Changed the engine in a car that wasnt running properly while i was apprentice.
New engine wouldnt start when warm. Other technicians at work scratched their heads for quite some time (2 weeks) until I finally got to come with a suggestion. 2 hours later I had fixed the problem. Oil pressure was too high (over 10 times too high), and with a small software configuration the problem was gone.
Yay me!

I done a number of things on this pc of 10years. Upgrade memory, replaced the C: drive. Added another hard drive (f disk of 480GB) installed a faster USB port. Now I did my car like replacing front and rear brakes (all new), did a new exhaust (with catalytic converter) replaced alternatior, fuel injector (single port) upgrade rear suspension. My truck, did front brakes. Rears pending. Shocks in the rear pending. Differential service. Engine tune up.

I get calls from relatives with pc issues. And I fixed them as well.
