Nodame Cantabile was the only live action that I watched.
And that was before I even knew there was an anime for it.

Ohhh yeah, I watched that too. I actually liked the live action to that.

Along as any adaptations are done right & is a decent to see or read. Then I'm fine.Don't care who produced or medium it's being adapted for.
I'm certain we all know the greatest example of a bad adaptation (or worst example of a good adaptation):Dragonball Evolution .I understand they were adapting it for the American audience (both fans & average people) & somethings would drive some movie goers away (I'm fine with that),but that doesn't mean screw EVERYTHING up .And I didn't even see the movie!
I have hopes for the live action Bleach movie that Warner Bros. is producing with help from Viz Media (THANK GOD!Someone to keep it from being a full DBE).But that's just because I don't know what they're doing yet (ignorance is bliss,am I right? ).

I never paid much attention to the live-action adaptions. The only one I watched was Moyasimon tv drama besides the Dragonball disaster. So I'm hesitant to watch. I have a nails on the chalk board feeling about a Bleach adaption.

I think the reason why they don't make them look exactly like the character is to go for more of a realistic look, otherwise it just looks like a really badly done cosplay. Thats how I feel about it, anyway.

I do agree that that is a contributing factor, but they have characters that are supposed to be from foreign countries and they cast them using Japanese people who tend to have oddly dyed hair that neither looks real/istic nor like the character. I'm not saying they're not trying to be realistic, I'm just saying they tend to do a bad job at it. >_>
And I got to agree with the people who've stated that there's not much point in seeing the live-action when you've seen the anime. There's very few movies/shows that give you the reason to do so (i.e. do something different, but positive), which is very sad.

Some things can't be replicated in live action. nor should they. I'll keep away from live action since I think it detracts from the artists original concept. Now if it were adapted from a light novel or something that would be different but cashing in on the success of an anime by making a live action counterpart is a horrible idea.

I don't think I've ever seen a GOOD live action perhaps I just have bad luck in finding good ones. Negima live action is the worst one to this date XD

The three Death Note live action movies were pretty good. I feel that they got the casting right and overall it looked good.

dude Live-Actions are horrible, they just kill all the characters and they try WAAAAY too hard to act like them, the voice acting are mostly horrible too

Not true. I actually find the acting to be quite good, & I think it flows very naturally, as if they were born to play that character.
Idk which live actions you're talking about, but if you've watched the ones I mentioned above, then I don't think that you'd be saying that right now.
