Do you have younger siblings?

If you do, do you ever get the feeling that you are somehow inferior to him or her? by inferior I'm talking about loosing to him or her at certain things such as academics, sports, popularity, and such.

I have a younger brother and let me tell you, I HATE him. Well I don't really hate him but I'm Incredibly JEALOUS of him.

Here is a quick description of my younger brother:
Smart: Got straight A's in every subject ever since 3rd grade. Got a 4.3 GPA on his last report card.
Tall: I am 5 feet 8inches tall, and my younger brother is 6 feet tall. (I wish it was the opposite).
Popularity: Let me just say that he has more friends in his Freshman year of high school than I do in my entire life.
Studious: He studies like a nut job. In fact, he's studying right now as I'm writing this post. His GPA proves it.
Humorous: Whenever we have a conversation, I'm always the one laughing.
And so much more that I'm having trouble putting down on words.

The point is, I want to be like him!!! He is like the opposite of me WITH the exception of looks, because I do think I look a little bit better than him . (conceited much? Hell NAW.)

I don't know, but I get really annoyed when he's doing his homework and studying and all I can do is go on CR and rant about it. Have you watched the new anime called Space Brothers? If yes, then you must have heard this quote: "An Older Brother Must Always Stay Ahead of His Younger Siblings" Maybe not word for word but you get the idea. The older child should always be the perfect child But not in this case I suppose.

Sometimes I just wish I was the younger brother. =P

Failure is generally what makes you smarter. From the looks he hasn't experienced much of it.

Watch out for your brother. The strongest looking ones are usually the ones crashing hard.

Does he love you? If so, there is something great about you too.

Be proud of him. Your feelings are understandable - maybe learn from him (ask him) and be a bit more like him.

(Your life does sound a lot like space brothers, totally!) It must be a hard.

Oh yeah. If you can't be as good as him - you can at least corrupt him a little! (Given a name like ILikeBoobies - you could get him in to anime or other booby related things and be the cool older bro).

I know how you feel, my younger sister is the epitome of the perfect daughter that my parents always wanted. ( Except that they didn't take into account of her terrible attitude. Hah!) She's got the perfect grades, lots of friends, the looks and the whole "I'm so mature than my sister vibe."

Sure, I'll freely admit to anyone but her, than I'm jealous of my darling sister. At multiple times in my life I wish I had an older brother or sister to look up too. Instead of being the one who has to dive into life first.

But I also feel rather bad for her, instead of soaking up and enjoying her childhood, she's playing a role that's not her's. I mean, when I was her age (she's 12) I was playing jump rope and 4 square. Running around like the derp I was and actually being a kid. Not putting on make up or worrying about gossip and her school "drama."

Apparently, I'm very relaxed and mellow about my life. I don't really care much about the whole school life, I have school friends but that's all they are really. I'm not a slacker when it comes to academics, this is an Honors and AP student here!

But I guess my point is that, no matter how ideal your sibling may be or act, he's still your younger brother that looks up to you. And if he doesn't then I'm sure that there must be some trait or characteristic of you he may be envious of.

(For example, I enjoy (monster/speed) reading, which was something that I never knew my sister was envious about.)

I'm the youngest of four siblings. It's abundantly clear to everyone that they are all inferior to me. Especially so when our parents tell them that, even using the word "inferior". It does create a little tension and resentment from time to time, but ultimately they don't let it bother them that much.

my younger bro is taller & can def take my ankles on the court lol

still.. @ the end of the day, my eagerness for his success outweighs the envy.

That's true. Even though it's kinda (not kinda, but extremely) annoying to have to lose to your younger siblings, I do want my younger brother to succeed and even though an older brother should be a role model for his younger siblings, I hope he doesn't follow my footstep.

I don't feel inferior or superior to my siblings, I just see them as equals with interests and strengths that complement my own. We cover for one another's weaknesses.

I want to see them do well for themselves and to be happy.

I have a younger brother, and surprise, surprise, he's better than me at everything. I'm not jealous, and I try to be supportive, just as my three older brothers were/are with me. At least I'm the tallest one.

Well I'm the youngest but I know my brother is very jealous of me because he think I'm spoiled but in reality my parents spent about the same amount of both of us. He didn't realize I went to JC and he was to MI (very expensive) and they pay for his apartment and along with a lot of other things. He likes to take his anger out on my cat because he sees the dog as him and the cat as me. He doesn't abuse my cat but he changes her around the house making weird screams squeely noise. Now when she even hears his voice she hides
