NO, I don't have younger siblings. But it does feel good to get ahead of your older siblings.

Yes.

I've studied all through secondary school, and my younger sister still gets better results than me.

She is always the popular one, forever off at friends houses or hanging out, while I havejust a few friends who I'm growing apart from.

My younger brother also does better than me, even though he doesn't put in halff the work I ever did.

they better be succesful so I can mooch off them.

I'm only jealous of the attention they get from our parents. School wise and just general intelligence wise, I'm the smartest. I'm not jealous of their physical appearance, either. So yeah. Mostly just that they get treated better than I do.

Just a little bit, but we are different people so we have different strengths. It's useless to compare a dog to a cat. Just live life and be happy.

I know how you feel, my younger sister is the epitome of the perfect daughter that my parents always wanted. ( Except that they didn't take into account of her terrible attitude. Hah!) She's got the perfect grades, lots of friends, the looks and the whole "I'm so mature than my sister vibe."

Sure, I'll freely admit to anyone but her, than I'm jealous of my darling sister. At multiple times in my life I wish I had an older brother or sister to look up too. Instead of being the one who has to dive into life first.

But I also feel rather bad for her, instead of soaking up and enjoying her childhood, she's playing a role that's not her's. I mean, when I was her age (she's 12) I was playing jump rope and 4 square. Running around like the derp I was and actually being a kid. Not putting on make up or worrying about gossip and her school "drama."

Apparently, I'm very relaxed and mellow about my life. I don't really care much about the whole school life, I have school friends but that's all they are really. I'm not a slacker when it comes to academics, this is an Honors and AP student here!

But I guess my point is that, no matter how ideal your sibling may be or act, he's still your younger brother that looks up to you. And if he doesn't then I'm sure that there must be some trait or characteristic of you he may be envious of.

(For example, I enjoy (monster/speed) reading, which was something that I never knew my sister was envious about.)

THIS. Completely, absolutely, and undoubtedly this.

I don't even feel the need to write my own response now, because WingedTears has just done it for me. I've also wished I had an older brother or sister figure to look up to instead of having to be the one that experiments with everything first. But at the same time, I've also felt bad for my little sister since my parents are now forcing her to do all these things instead of letting her enjoy her youth the way I had. I can even relate to the monster/speed reading since that's an ability I have that my little sister doesn't. The only difference with my little sister is that because of her terrible attitude, she doesn't have friends (insert evil laugh here).

And about OP's brother...

Failure is generally what makes you smarter. From the looks he hasn't experienced much of it.

Watch out for your brother. The strongest looking ones are usually the ones crashing hard.

You can't be jealous of your siblings in this situation. He probably spends a lot of time studying and whatnot. If you want to be more popular, studious and humorous then make it happen. People aren't just born a superstar, it takes some work. If you spent more time studying or being social think about how much improvement you could make. Maybe you could even make your sibling jealous of you. You won't be able to get taller though. lol.

"Hard work overcomes anything", only works in shonen anime. His brother has what we call talent. Although, I'm sure your definition of talent is different than mine so I insist in not turning this into an argument.

I was equal years apart from both of my sisters stuck in the middle. It took a lot out of me to be equal to them, but then again I didn't give a flying fuck about opinions back then.

I do not have any.
