Using the Google TV Chrome browser (only way to see HD) the timing for the subtitles have gotten very bad. The words don't stay on the screen long enough to be read. When Playing the same video on the computer it works fine.

Any suggestions?

The app seems to play fine, but isn't HD, on the 65" screen it looks rough... ;)

Thanks!

Is this happening to anyone else? (With a Google TV)

I checked several shows on our Google TV yesterday and had no issues with subtitles. I'll see if I can get any suggestions from the development team.

Thanks. I'll check again tonight. Maybe it was a temporary thing.

huh... maybe it mostly fixed itself. I used to happen on Naruto, but now I only see it on Upotte. I've got a link where I showed it but it's not "too bad at all" here in this link... but it at least shows I'm not crazy to say the timing is wacky.

I've had this happen a number of times. It's random (maybe 1 in 3 videos?), and *sometimes* reloading the page fixes it (assuming you're viewing CR through the Chrome browser and not the (not-very-good) app). That's full page reload, and not just stopping/starting the player.

It happened several times through the season of Another, as well as first season of Fate/Zero. Will tolerate it for some shows, but for ones where the subtitles are particularly important (particularly for pausing and rewind capability, which are miserable experiences with streaming), such as second season Fate/Zero, I've switched to a downloaded version so I don't have to put up with it (still play back the eps on the computer, unsupervised, to note it for CR).

Problems seen:
Subtitles fade in over the course of time that you're supposed to read them. By the time the opacity is enough to actually read them, their time is up and they turn off.
Subtitles are just slow to appear at all, and tend to be delayed relative to the audio. Often have very short durations. May possibly be considered a variant of the first type, except that rather than low opacity text, it's just fully transparent up to a point, then turns on.

It's like the timing is set in a way the browser can't read it correctly. The app seems to have good timing. Here are a few screenshots to show its messing up still. This is using the just updated Sony google tv. Full screen does it the same as not, the screen shot is done not full creek to show the resolutions.

This is from Sengoku Collection episode one. But I see it on all videos, jut some aren't as bad. Some you can barely tell there is an issue.

Is anyone looking into this?
This is a supported product. I bought this thing specifically to watch crunchyroll on.

Apologies, just to confirm this is happening when you watch in HD in the browser, not when you use the app.

Correct. The app is fine but any resolution in the browser isn't working correctly. (As the You tube links show)

Google TV is only fully supported through the app currently.
We're working on bring HD playback to the app.

My apologies, I misunderstood the initial report.
