Names are overrated. Also, I'm terrible at remembering names of any sort.
Color coding is where it's at, these days. |

Names aren't really important to me.

Generally no. But the mother's name thing is odd. Yeah, I probably wouldn't date someone with the same name as my mother. It would be too weird.

ello! I'm just wondering if your love interest's name is important? I have to admit it would be a little disconcerting if she was named Bill or Henry etc, but other than that not really. As for meaning, I don't know how many parents actually look into that kind of stuff. A title arbitrarily chosen sometime after birth doesn't really seem all that meaningful, even if it does serve a purpose. |

Not sure if I answered this already and too lazy to go and check.
BUT: Yes if the name is embarrassing or a pain in the ass to pronounce. Example.Given. embarrassing: Mildred (for some insane reason I develop a preference for women who smell like preserved corpses and use an oxygen mask to breathe and their hair was naturally and initially blonde back in the 40's) E.G. Hard as hell to pronounce: Anything spelled with all consonants |

My sister married a person with the last name of Butts.. and my sister-in-law married a person with the last name Ferry... if they can survive that I can survive a name... good thing I don't have to.

Yes and no. If I like a girl, her name becomes special to me, therefore I will like it more than other girls names. As for getting with a girl solely based on her name, not gonna happen. She could be named Tommy or Jack and I would find some way to love it, granted when its time to get freaky naughty that could be awkward for people that may be able to hear what's going on...

My sister named my nephew Keifer because she has a thing for Keifer Sutherland. The thing is, when naming a kid you have to consider what kids at school are gonna call him. She got really mad at me when I said the kids are gonna call him Queefer someday.
Other than that names aren't that important to me. I like some better than others. I may not find it sexy to yell out "Oh, Mortimer!" in the throes of passion, but if Morty is really good, I'll get used to it. (Sorry to any Mortimer's, that might be floating around, reading this.) |
