We are paying $5 (US) for each person that gets signed up. So this is not free labor. As a person that goes to conventions for Crunchyroll, I can tell you that it's pretty easy to sign people up for the service by just simply telling them what the service is and does without resorting to any underhanded sales techniques. For an hour of work, you can make a decent amount of money. We are also looking for people that already frequent Anime conventions so that we don't have to ask people to go far out of their way for this. In short, it's mutually beneficial but not for everyone.
