Its a definite NoNo for athletes and I avoid people who smoke in public. My lungs are too precious and important for what I do.

Don't smoke. Don't think it is a good idea. Nonsmoker preferred.

I don't smoke myself and I have never smoked before
If my lover ever smoked, hmm.. well, I don't think it's anything I vould do anything about, but he will know I'm not fond of it, and that he shouldn't be smoking near me, and I wouldn't want to kiss him if he had smoked right before. I don't really like the smell of smoke.

Nope I don't smoke, and I don't plan on getting into it either as its all around a useless hobby kinda like anime could be if you didn't watch gems like kids on the slope, clannad, ghost in the shell, Grave of the Fireflies, etc that have a point to make about life.

I'd rather be a bitchy ex smoker than the dumbass smoking my cigarettes through a hole in my throat.

I ride motorbikes, want to take a gamble on which is more dangerous? I've had 2 crashes and a few near misses, one was such a near miss that the car driver couldn't believe how close it was. The point is that no matter what we do we have an element of risk to it.

My lung operations though have nothing to do with smoking at all, spontaneous pneumothorax (my lungs collapsed, both of them, though not at the same time cause that woulda been me dead), it was (apparently) caused by the fact I'm tall (6'1) with blonde hair, so go figure, being tall and blonde affects my health much more than smoking or even riding a bike, heck, being 6'1 and blonde could have killed me.

Now, I don't drink alcohol, well very rarely but I don't tell people who do drink that they should stop as they are slowly poisoning themselves, nor do I avoid people who drink (even though it's an anti-social habit which makes people who do drink do stupid things), live and let live. When I quit smoking, I won't judge people who do smoke and bitch at them to quit or whatever, it's their choice, same as it's my choice now to ride a motorbike (which most likely will end up killing me), smoke, not drink and drink far too much coffee.

I dont smoke cigarettes, but have been handed a few cigars through business associates, i will never turn those down. and HOOKAH for the win. They're just so right after any meal, just like dessert with hundreds of flavors.

I wouldnt care if my gf smoked, we only live once.

You did say you smoke even after problems with your lungs, how was I to know they were unrelated? Sounded like a typical COPD patient who still smokes.

I don't lecture smokers. They know cigarettes are bad. But I will raise a shit fit if someone smokes on me who knows how I feel, and I have.

No, I don't go to bars or places where they allowed indoors because obviously I would have to smell them and it's disgusting. After you quit, they smell 10,000 times worse. It's like 6 steps below rancid corpse.

Everyone chooses their death everyday, cigarettes are just a really really lame thing to want to die for. You could argue that you get excitement and fun out of motorbiking; cigarettes giving you joy is just an illusion.

I started smoking because I had a couple cigars on my 18th birthday to celebrate... so every once in a while, I would smoke a white owl cigar. Not very often though. Then when I was online one time, I saw a Japanese kiseru pipe... and I fell in love. So I ordered one of those and some tobacco, and I smoked it a few times a day for a while. When I ran out of tobacco, I just went back to cigars every so often. Still have my pipe, but I use it for that wacky tabacky now lol Now THERE'S a relaxer for ya SilverxButterfly lol and you don't have to wait until you are of age, because it is illegal at any age! unless you are from Canada lol

80% of Europe smokes.
About 30% of Americans smoke.
But the cancer rate in America is 3 times higher than in Europe.
So is really the smoking that's killing us, or the crap processed fast food that we eat?
Cause in Europe, folks eat more Lamb, poultry, and pork. As well as much more whole fruits and veggies.
We Americans are getting fatter and are in worse health every year, but the anti smoking lobbyist in DC would have you believe "Big Tobacco"
is the problem.

I don't smoke cigarettes, I like to live stoned as much as possible, and, on occasion, run my family out the room with a big stinky cigar.
And I think it's wrong for the Anti-smoking Nazi's to continually push smokers farther and farther away from they're god given right to do whatever the hell they want to themselves.

Btw, I'm not going to go run and look it up, cause I'm to lazy, but all you have to do is Google for this fact;

There has NEVER EVER been a lab study ANYWHERE in ANY COUNTRY that directly links smoking to cancer, even in tests where unfiltered tobacco smoke was piped into the cages of rats who were genetically modified to be predisposed to getting cancer, not a single friggan rat ever got sick, ever.

No, but I go out of my way to be around other people that do smoke, so I can inhale their fumes.

I've heard that the damage from secondhand smoke is worse than the damage smokers get themselves.

I think I got that from Darker than Black haha.

Conclusion: keep smoking, it's good for you
