I have smoked for 12 years, quit that hobby 4½ years ago. Occasionally I do still light up a cigar still though.
They taste good with a good whisky.

I do. Makes me relax and puts my mind at ease. Though I only do it while doing work and taking a break or when I'm with friends who smoke as well. I've been smoking since I was 17 (now 21). It was so easy to get it in my town. Back then it was just a cool factor though. I've tried to quit at least 4 times.

I dont smoke and I don't intent to smoke in the future because smoking affects your daily mood smokers get mad easily not to mention cancer breathing problems losing stamina which affects sex life or ability to maintain work and possibility of not having children or healthy children.

to cut it short the only thing good about smoking is some people think of it as being cool. other than that its mainly the biggest mistake anyone could ever do in their life. I know that because many of my friends smoke and my uncle almost died because of heart problems excessive smoking was the reason.

how most people start to smoke when a friend is smoking next to you and you get curious about it then you say you want to try only one cigaret
after that its all done you become a smoker by habit then addict, the same story I heard from all the people I know who smoke.

bottom line AVOID SMOKING AT ALL COST the negatives of smoking are too much to comprehend.

wow did I just write all this

I've been smoking for 18 years... tried to quit while I was pregnant, but was actually told by my doctor not to quit cold turkey because it could harm the baby... I smoked maybe 2 cigarettes a day while I was pregnant. As soon I came off of maternity leave a year later and went back to work, I went back to half a pack a day.

I'm going to be quitting this year for sure. My quit date is set for my surgery date (been walking on a cracked ankle that I broke in Sept that refuses to heal). I did a that 5km Zombie Run (first year up in Canada) back in Sept (broke my ankle a week after the run playing volleyball of all things) and I died even though I had been training for it. Couldn't catch my breath...

I would suggest never starting, regardless of the reason. Not only is it not good for you, it's friggin' expensive. $10 a pack, $40 a week, $160 a month, $1920 a year... That's an all inclusive trip to somewhere warm...

Well most of my family smoked. I think I will probably suffer the most because of chain smoking which could potentially be more dangerous than actual smoking plus I suffer from Asthma so I'll never start smoking for that reason.

If I had a partner I would prefer that she didn't smoke but in all honesty I don't really mind so long as I'm not paying for them If she wants to smoke then she can go stand outside in the cold.. I think that will put her off smoking.

I used to smoke just because i thought it was cool, but as years passed i finally had a reason to smoke, stress.
Started smoking when i was 16. It was much worse before than it is now, for i set a limit to myself where i smoke at least 1 or 2 cigs a day.
im not an addict, i could go 1 week without cigs if i wanted to. but i will eventually start again. XD..i used to smoke weed constantly but now i set a limit to that also.

I don't really mind if my partner smokes. but i will prefer that if she does, to not overextended to where she smokes like a pack a day and such. It's always best to put a limit on how much to smoke a day or week.

I do believe that one can quit if they wanted to, and those who are just starting should know how to keep a limit or set one. For you may have the urge to do it constantly.
