I started again since military service. When you're cold and wet it helps.

Amen to that brother.

I started 'smoking' recently, using the blu brand of electric cigarettes. I did a bit of research into the effects of nicotine itself before I started, and found that most of the harmful elements in a proper cigarette come from the various other chemicals and properties of a paper-and-tobacco cigarette. Fiberglass in the filters, chemicals in the paper, the staining properties of tobacco - frankly, the nicotine was merely the addictive drug that altered brain functions a bit, and didn't seem to have any other real drawbacks aside from being addictive and prompting something of a money sink when it came to purchasing cigarettes or nicotine cartridges.

In the end, I decided that using electric cigarettes would be a positive supplement to my lifestyle. I don't regret it.

That said, I still dislike being around regular smokers. I'm often called a hypocrite for it, but that's only by those who don't understand the fundamental differences between smoking and using the electronic cigs. The vapor produced by an electric cigarette is about as harmful as the steam from a tea kettle, and doesn't have the offensive smell or choking properties that come with the chemical-filled smoke from a real cigarette. So, I doubt I'll ever belong to the 'smoker' crowd, and I don't flaunt the fact that I felt the need to rely on a drug to help me stabilize my lifestyle, but I can say that I see the reason why others have made the same choice, whether they went with the real deal or the healthier alternative.

I smoke but people tell me that I barely smoke. I'm always indoors and I literally can't smoke indoors so my ciggie breaks are always special.

I've been smoking for months now again but I used to smoke when I was younger.

I quit smoking cigarettes 11 days ago. Yesterday I coughed up black tar. Can't really start smoking again after that. Puts it all into perspective. I do still smoke pot, but have never really smoked more than a joint a day, usually less.

I smoked briefly when I was 18 for about 2 months. I can understand why some people smoke though as the nicotine does have a soothing effect. As someone who suffers from extreme anxiety, I can see why others do it, but I will never start again as I have good meds now. I will also avoid smokers at all costs as that odor has become appalling to me.

Nothing wrong with vaporizing cannabis. Or edibles. Hell, Phelps is a world class athlete along with many others and they smoke once in a while. Everything in moderation.

I've never smoked and I can't ever see myself doing it. I hate the smell and it makes me gag whenever I'm near someone who's doing it. So I probably wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone who does it.

I've quit smoking for almost half a year now. Didn't really take much doing either.
I just decided one day that i didn't really enjoy it anymore so i stopped.
I used to smoke quite frequently though and started at the tender age of 9.
Well.. by started I mean that's when i tried my first cigarette. I didn't actively start smoking
till i was about 11.
