Have to agree with dyme420. 300 million is probably drug money temporarily misplaced. I'd leave it alone and get as far away from the drop zone as humanly possible. Same deal for gems or opiates in a bag: those that had the means and "creativity" to acquire this fortune can channel same efforts to track you down and give you the eternity you desire (likely in the form of an excruciating death).

If this was a world of make believe and the money was OK I'd have to figure out how to expatriate myself from the US of A in a way to prevent the IRS from confiscating 90% of those assets and emigrate somewhere more econ-friendly to income. The US of A is morphing into a soft tyranny so this sure isn't the place to be wealthy if you, the individual, wish freedom of choice re how to distribute your wealth constructively and on your own terms.

I guess us old people have a better grasp of the reality of how to keep the cas

The bad point is that I know what that kind of cash looks like. It would pretty much fill a semi.
The next bad point is that the new money has that metalic strip and in large amounts is trackable via Mil. sa

I would be satisfied to fill my van and head out never to be seen again...

Charity doesn't do anything. I'd keep it all and build an empire from the ground up.

Assuming the money is clean, step one is to hire an accountant and a lawyer. If the money is dirty, step one is to hire a dirty lawyer and find someone to launder the money through a legitimate business.

After that I'd ensure my father's retirement and settle a few minor debts, then I'd invest the majority of the funds through several diverse means. Then I'd disappear for a while: I'd go work out, hire tutors, learn all I wanted/needed to while my money continued to accrue interest. When I returned, I'd open a private academy for gifted students and run for a political office.

That's a lot of money, enough to fill a gymnasium if they were in standard large bills. Even if stacked in the largest denomination of bills, which is $100,000 bills, you would have to handle 3000 bills.

In one place? I would be more worried about where it came from no one carries that much on them unless they just pulled a heist or was moving it from point a to point b.

i would just not fucking touch it because a) who leaves that much money just lying around? it's drugs or a robbery or some shit and i am not about to get involved and b) my gangly hobo ass has no business having that kind of money so there's no way that's flying under the radar

If I found 300 million dollars worth of drugs or robbery money, I would get in my car, drive to Canada. I would pay off border patrol to let me through without interference. Same with officials at the airpoirt, From there, I would take a plane to Switzerland where I would disperse the money in to several bank accounts. And from there I would go to Spain where I would live modestly and comfortably for the rest of my life
