Do you have a gun / firearm in your household?

[Operable firearm that shoots bullets.]

Does not include:
Airsoft, Air Guns, Pellet Guns, BB Guns, Paintball Guns, Rocket Launchers, Tanks,
Replica Firearms, Guns rendered inoperable (ex. welded bar in chamber, removal of firing pin, etc.)

Are otakus more or less likely to buy a gun? Is their a correlation?

Do you plan on owning a gun / Strongly against guns? Why?

It has crossed my mind a number of times to buy a gun (i.e. an actual firearm as defined in the first post) and learn to shoot it, and maybe one day I'll do it, but haven't felt sufficiently compelled to go out and actually do so yet. I certainly know others who have guns, and I suspect gun ownership is not all that uncommon here in Nevada, USA. Firearms ammunition is even available at the Walmart not too far from where I live. If I ever do get a gun, it'll likely be for reasons of personal/family protection and hobby. I've a pellet gun and compound bow, and shooting is a kind of discipline, and is relaxing at the same time.

Yes, I passed a family heirloom onward to my cousin to carry on the with blood thicker than money family possession that pre-dates the Civil War era here in the USA. In return he gave me a pistol issued in the '30's that uses .44 Longs. I guess it still works as I haven't tested it in 15 years.

I've thought about it, but the statistics and other spending priorities keep pushing it back.

It's illegal in my country, unless you have a licens, but at grandma's place we have some really old rifles that has been in the family for generations.
But when it concerns my house no gun or anyone with a gun will ever pass over the threshold, I hate firearms; they're cheating.
