There's skinny, and then there's too skinny. I knew a girl in high school whose ribs were clearly visible, and still believed she was fat. At the time I thought she was just fishing for attention. But it turned out she had a severe case of bulimia and had to be institutionalized. A girl can be thin and still be attractive and healthy. But when you can see her bones, that's when there's a problem.

lol I think they are going too far, but I'm so fat, I acctually wanna be motivated enough to not eat like them. I know it's bad and self destructive, but I guess I've been pushed too far by everyone... arugh. asian families and them telling you how fat you are -.-

I laugh at people that try to get skinny/thin purely because of cosmetic reasons, as said people usually have no idea of what's healthy for them (based on age/height/body structure/activity level).

Hell I'd love to be sub 20% body fat and around 140-150kg... just need to lose 10% BF and no weight, such a pain in the arse.

Thinspiration also known as thinspo, according to urban dictionary thinspo is used by people suffering from eating disorders to help keep them inspired. The idea behind thinspo is that it helps motivate and inspire you to lose weight and become or stay thin.

So apparently its a common phenomenon on tumblr where young girls post pictures of thin women including celebrities with captions to keep themselves motivated to become skinny...in an unhealthy way. It's pretty fucked up, most of these quotes make it seem like these girls are doing it for a good cause and they share their tips and tricks with each other.

It kind of makes you more aware that all the celebrities used as thinspo models are no doubt undergoing some kind of eating disorder. your thoughts?

I know a lot of people who want to get thin ("for fashion", they say) yet refuse to lay off on the McDonald's. It's very annoying and stupid how they care about their figure but not about their health. They refuse to eat and when they do eat, it's McDonald's. WTF! I can totally understand if people want to get thin but when it reaches the point of feeling very guilty after eating just one cookie, it's just sick.

When the thighs don't touch like that and you have that gap it just means you're very frail and weak and you have no muscle mass. Also thighs are important in bed and she has none so she must be absolutely crap at sex

So, are you asking what I think of eating disorders? They're...bad?

But yeah I mean people like that need help. Being unnaturally skinny isn't attractive. They're destroying themselves, of course I have a negative opinion of what they're doing, and it's common knowledge that popular media presents an unrealistic, unhealthy, and in some cases just inaccurate (like I said, skinny isn't attractive) standard of beauty.

Fine, but you have to eat the whole pizza; not just a few pieces. And it's a bigass pizza.

Since when is someone with an eating disorder strong? Dafqu? Oxymoron's be all up in here. To get heavy for a second, I had a lovely eating disorder in high school, and I had the strength of a wheat thin. Being skinny enough to see ribs and what not is not attractive (to me).

If I was a dude, which, sometimes I may or may not be, I'd want a little more meat than that. Cushion for the pushin' bro.

Side note, I say we replace Victoria Secret models, with this:

lady gaga posted how super stars don't eat and this probably ruined the self-esteem of 100k girls,i think more good looking celebrities should support exercise and do campaigns against eating disorders

This isn't true.

Like I've said, ever ran as part of a cross-country team or participated in a marathon? A build like that with the slender legs and torso would not stick out. Just because someone has a build like this does not mean they're weak or frail.

Skinny legs does not = frail and weak with no muscle mass.

Bone size and structure is also a factor. Muscle also is more dense than fat. Which means the same mass of muscle occupies less volume (space) than the same mass of fat would. So yes, it is possible to have strong legs where the thighs don't touch, lol. Big thighs does not necessarily mean strong legs, lol.
