I vacationed in Australia about 10 years ago-- it was great! You guys have ocean, desert, temperate zones, jungles, wine country, coral reefs, indigenous culture, modern cities, lots of natural wonders, etc.... It's all on one continent and country, and pretty much everyone speaks English, which makes travel for Americans like me much easier (once you get over the very long plane flight to get there). I don't know what the situation is now, but back then, the currency exchange rate was rather in America's favor, and I remember chowing down on fresh seafood nearly everyday at relatively bargain prices. I also recall meeting and eating kangaroo and emu (as well as meeting, but not eating wombats, dingos, camels, and koalas). I had an opportunity to eat Witchetty grub, but just couldn't do it. Snorkelling somewhere around the Great Barrier Reef area was great fun. I've certainly heard of all the poisonous things and the huge crocodiles of Australia, but I don't think I ever (knowingly) saw any of them (maybe a croc from a distance-- can't remember).

Well, personally, I'd like to visit many places around the world; that includes Australia too. So yeah, I imagine that going to Australia would be an enjoyable visit.
