So is there a difference for you between being friends with a guy compared to being friends with a girl? Maybe you treat each type of friendship differently.

don't worry, non taken .. lol most of my guy frinds tease me too, bz they feel i'm very bubbly and im always smiling thts y.. well wen i'm with my guy frnds we sometimes joke alot and talk and guff off but then again i do that we my girls too, but the only diff would be i try nt to go to my guy frnds house... bz sometimes things turn ugly reali fast so yeah.. i knw bz it almost did once.. lol and i had to jet out of there wth an excuse .. that i was running late for practice.. but in general i dnt act too diff bcz mostly i'm open minded and i'm not too afraid to talk abt diff topics. it just depends

I've had a similar situation many times. I'm just an affectionate guy so my girl friends always think I had some feelings for them (which I did, in most cases). Anyway, I never crossed the boundary to becoming more than friends so it's all okay. However, I later learned that they reciprocated my feelings, some at the time I started getting to know them and others later down the road. So I think it's difficult to remain just friends without ever having feelings for the other. I think it's definitely possible, but at least one side usually has some wandering thoughts of "What if?"

I think they can.

I have this guy best friend in my old school in high school. I never got attracted to him or either him got attracted on me [since I never felt that way, lmao]. and I know his crush and he knows mine. so I guess men and women can be 'just friends'. though I experienced that kinda situation. this one guy became my best friend in classroom [he's my closest friend in the classroom] when we were in sophomore. he told everyone that I was like a sister to him and so I looked at him as a big bro. until I have to migrate and leave, we've always chat on fb. then just when I'm already far far away, he told me about his feelings o.o"

derp, because of both of my experiences, I guess some can remain 'just friends' and some can't resist it xD

Had a thought on this. Yes. Gay guys and lesbian girls are the answer. No sexual attraction to the opposite sex so they can be "just friends" without either party thinking they could be something more.

My best friend is a woman. No underlying sexual tension or anything. This might be different considering that I'm gay and she's lesbian. That being said I can have perfectly normal friendships with other males without having any other motives. Aside from my personal experience I do feel that men and women can "just be friends." Think about it...do you really want to do it with every woman you know?

I thinks men and women can be just friends. I'm friends with this guy and I don't have a crush on him what so ever and he has a crush on one of my friends so he definatly doesn't like me. So yes I think men and women can be just friends.

At first I was thinking "Of course. This is a stupid question." But then I think about some of my female friends well I have had a past relationship with them or thought about it. Needless to say I have girls who I share platonic relationships. So, yeah its possible.

Yeah they can. But i think it'd be easier if both of them were already in a relationship (not with each other obviously, but other people), and had no feelings whatsoever for each other lol.

The big difference though is the "like" siblings vs. actual siblings. I'm sure there have been people in a situation like that, but did end up together lol. Though i think your very first post was enough, since it's just to see if they can be just friends or not.

I've tried to just be friends with girls... It never turns out right...
It's always someone gets attached, feelins get hurt, then you fall out...
Thats just from my life experiences. But like now my Ex and I are tryin to be friends again.
Because before we started going out we was bestfriends for a while.
But idk what happend things started goin on we hooked up. Went out for 2 years.
And from cruzin all the time and looking at it now We hardly Speak?
I miss her more as a Bestfriend, then a Girlfriend.
I guess it is possible, Just never take it any further then just friends Which is kinda hard...
