Well my graduation is this Tuesday, but I'm feeling psyched and a bit scared. I'm glad that I'm done with High School, but like you said whole new responsibility are being presented to me. I have to look forward to being in college in the fall and I'm just freaking because it won't be like High School. Of course I'm looking to have a summer job and saving some money up before I leave. I also am a bit sad because I will be saying goodbye to a lot of friends who will be attending a different college and will be too far to see.

Still I'm just looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life , though I'm not too psyched about the whole prediction about the world ending at the end of this year.

Haha! Good for you! A lot of people say though that in college there is a lot of opportunities to express yourself, and many new cool things, but also there are more responsibilities. I'm kind of scared too, lol, but excited too, and glad as well. Congratulations!

Congratulations to everybody who has graduated! I hope you all manage to complete your goals for the future!

Let's see... I honestly don't remember much about how I felt after my High School Graduation, aside from how weird it felt to actually be part of the "main attraction" instead of the band playing the music that went along with the ceremony. I guess it never affected me too much, but that might have been because I was one of the weird kids that just about everyone else left alone (for the most part).

My college graduation felt a bit weird, if not a little sad, because of how it felt like everything was over now and I had to get a life. But I also felt pretty proud of myself, especially with my family there to applaud me. Of course, winning a department award and graduating Summa felt pretty good, too.

And lastly, although it wasn't necessarily a full graduation, the commencement ceremony for my Master's degree was pretty annoying, and didn't really feel like a major accomplishment. The fact that my mother couldn't be there was probably the main reason. However, the Accountancy students didn't make it any more enjoyable by bouncing a stupid ball all over the place and keeping the ceremony from starting for a good 10 minutes. Then there's the fact that the program doesn't terminate until I receive my Ph.D, so being underwhelmed isn't surprising.

Admittedly, I do miss my friends (especially the ones from High School), and I have been spending a fair bit of time trying to go through my old things (including old homework assignments) to get a better understanding of who I was back then. But I'm also glad that it's over, because I have those memories to look back to as well as the skills (well, some of them, at least) needed to help people, including people like all of you who are just graduating yourselves.

I guess that's a fair trade.

Wow! Haha, I probably am one of the weird kids too, with just a couple friends. And yeah in your commencement ceremony for your Master's degree, I get how you could've felt since your mom wasn't there, because no one from my family was there at my graduation, not even my mom, haha, so actually that ''haha '' is just an awkward one that means I'm pretty sad that my family wasn't there at my graduation. Anyway I managed to have a good time, kind of. And the graduation party was awesome!

Just dont sit on that accomplishment for too long. The world keeps moving and soon you're going to put this day in the back of your head and focus on whats ahead.

seriously, 3 years ago i would never have imagined what it would be like to be working a serious job everyday.... when i see people talking about summer vacation or winter vacation i chuckle a little because out in the real world there's no such things as those... we've gotten so used to having those that its weird knowing that you will work unless you take vacation time you saved up.... anyway enjoy your guy's days

but as someone from the class of 09 let me say... take everything seriously and don't stop or you'll be shooting yourself in the foot (metaphorically speaking)

I just dropped out of school, and now live under my bed with my broken toys.

It's only a week away! I'm so excited, but to be perfectly honest, it's a very bittersweet time. On one hand, I get to go out there and accomplish my goals and not be boxed in with the same people I've been going to school with for the last 6 years. However, it's kind of sad that I won't be some of these people for what might be the rest of my life. So I'm kind of emotionally confused.
