If you can find it, read Under Grand Hotel. That deals with sex in a jail. And from what I've heard, the sex (but not the rest of the plot) is fairly common.

I haven't really looked at any yaoi intentionally. However the few images i have glimpsed and taken closer looks at have been interesting.

Im not into it, but i like how those who do are very proud to show it, and especially with those yaoi paddles. We have one we use for shoplifters and people will steal on purpose just to get paddled..........yeah anime fandom at its best lol

I remember a gay guy saying he hates yaoi because he believes it's demeaning to actual homosexuals. And it hasn't been just him. I've heard this from a number of gay men and I would have to agree. Yaoi is genre that is made by women for women. Not saying that there isn't a male audience, but they're likely very small and not as vocal.

Not to mention most of it is just self fulfilling, stereotypical, unrealistic, tripe and tend to follow some disturbing trends such as rape=love, portraying gay men as raunchy, sex craving maniacs and mpreg.

Ugh, and the fans.

I assume yuri is girl on girl?

I'm sure if you could try drawing your own.

Well I'm not a very good artist, so it's out of the question for me.

I don't really understand the hype about it towards younger or women in general really.
I mean, I don't even get that excited when I see Anime/Manga with Lesbian encounters, it's like "Meh."

Not-Meant-to-be-Yaoi, bugs me a little.

But, other wise, I don't really care for it. I don't judge anyone else that does. Gay pride. I don't get extreme pleasure from it like you fan girls do (or fan dudes,), but, hey, that's not a bad thing.
