Anime only comes from Japan.

Sorry but that show about the bald kid on the flying mammoth is not anime

I tend to lean on your side a bit. But if its good, I care less where it came from. Its just still pictures woven together to make something entertaining

Where are you? In regards to the western world, anime is a loan word from Japan, and has taken on the proper meaning of cartoons from Japan. If you're in Japan, then anime is their word for animation, and all cartoons, including Disney, are technically anime, though some places still keep the distinction between anime and animation even in Japan.

Manga and Anime is Manga and Anime, regardless of where it was produced.

It should simply be noted most people produce it incorrectly outside of Japan.
