No and it's not as if these are the only anime genres on here. There are plenty of other choices for those looking for them.

Thank you :], I mean I don't hate shounen/shoujo (I do watch a few) but they are boring.
And I love romances shows, only think I don't like is when they are cliche.

Two theories;

-The 'good' titles get licensed by DVD companies

-Some of those are for mature audiences, and I don't think CR does age 17+ titles

So what you're left with is the leftovers and mild stuff.

That said, I actually like a lot of the titles (minus the shounen harem romances) on CR, so I'm not personally complaining.

For the most part, there is a common misunderstanding in the US that anything that has romance in it is shoujo. This is entirely not the case. There are tons of shounen, seinen, and josei romance anime out there.

To answer the OP's question. No. Not at all. Romance is my favorite genre. I like an action show once in a while, but I prefer my action with some romance. I like a comedy here and there, but it is much better if it romantic comedy. Everything is better if it has some romance in it!

Thanks for explaining about romance and genres. And I agree some of the best love stories (more realistic at least) that I've read/watched have been seinen.

And I don't really see that many girly shows on CR. They all seem actiony with a romance sideline. My favorite genres are sci-fi and mind-benders but to be honest it needs to have at least a slight side of romance to keep me interested. Take Full Metal Alchemist and Steins;Gate. But great sci-fi and advemtire but a little romance helps it feel complete. It doesn't have to be the focus, but there should be some.

It is rather difficult to pick up something that doesn't exist.

While fall series will still be announced over the next 3 months, it appears that the manga has only reached chapter 29, and the first series burned through 17 chapters. It appears it has been on hiatus for over a year now, so unless you wanted a filler-rific 12 episodes or an original ending, there is really no possibility of a second series any time soon.

I am a big fan of sci-fi romances too. Full Metal Panic is a great example. It has it all - Action, Comedy, Romance, SciFi, Mecha, the whole ball of wax!

No, I didn't click the source link. Although even if that original announcement was a troll, considering the season 1 burned through 15 chapters and not 17 like you claimed. Then they only need to release one more chapter to have an other 15. If that's what they have been waiting for, a second season is obviously possible. No filler or original ending necessary. Seems there is reason to hope after all

Did you just look at chapter 15 and say, "This matches up with the final episode", or did you look at chapters 16 & 17 and fail to notice that a good part of chapter 16 and all of 17 match up with events in episode 9 of the anime? It was slightly rewritten and used out of order.
