Edit: These might not be "must reads before you die", but they'd possibly enhance your life, or lead you to thoughts of absurdism.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut
The Plague by Albert Camus
Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Friedrich Nietzche
Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon
The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir
Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl
Ulysses by James Joyce
Molloy by Samuel Beckett
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles by Haruki Murakami
The Medium is the Massage is a fun read.
Anything by Erich Fromm. I prefer The Sane Society & Escape From Freedom, but I'd probably recommend The Art of Loving. (which I do...a lot..to a lot of people)

Plus, auto-biographies or biographies are always good. They're great motivators, as they humanize 'idols'.

I'm going to add Phantoms of the Brain by V.S. Ramachandran to my list. It's incredibly fascinating & lead me to another realm of books & study. If you end up reading it, I'll recommend more to you. ^-^ or just explore off of it.

The Woman in the Dunes - Kobo Abe. Brilliant, terrifying, incomprehensible and somehow vaguely amusing to boot. Had to read most chapters twice before I was confident to continue reading, so it can be pretty heavy at times.

Enders Game is amazing, but Ender's Shadow (follows Bean during the story) is actually on of the best books I've ever read, ever.
