Terrier, Mastiff, or bloodhound by tamera pierce. It is a great series about a different time with a great female lead and it isn't an easy book to read so if you want a challenge read these. Plus, the series has a talking purple eyed cat and magic.

House of Leaves by Mark Z Dainelweski is the best book I have read.
Zampano tell us of "The Navidson Record", a documentary of a photojournalist and his companion moving in with their two kids into a home to settle down. That's how it starts until they discover the home is bigger than the paper tells them. With notes by Johnny Traunt, who writes his own story throughout the book, House of Leaves was way more than I expected it to be, to be honest I had no idea what it was at first.
Somewhere along the line it is said people have become obsessed with "The Navidson Record". I guess I have become one of them as not a day has gone by where it doesn't cross my mind.

It is fantastic, and I recommend anything he's written. His stuff can be different and challenging, but it is worth going through.

Did you know that Poe's album "House of Leaves" has a strong connection to that book?

I agree. It was one of my favorite books last year.
