I really liked it. It was kind of wacky and all over the place, but ended up being a good story.

The Kite Runner was very good, although kind of sad. I have one of his other books, A Thousand Splendid Suns , but I have yet to read it.

The Five Love Languages because if you are in a relationship, it's good to know what makes the other person, and yourself, feel happy.
Personality Plus (or any other book about personalities) because it helps understand yourself and those around you so you can communicate better.
I know many may turn away simply because they can be considered "self-help" books, but in books you must read, I say they will make a lasting impact that you can use for the rest of your life.

the Ciaphas Cain series by Sandy Mitchell. READ IT! READ IT! My absolute favorite books! first is the Hero of the Imperium, then Defender of the Imperium, and the newer ones that haven't been bunched yet.

Ciaphas Cain is a commissar who is known throughout the galaxy as the Hero of the Imperium, when in fact he is a huge coward that only wanted to be a nobody in artillery away from anything that might kill him for his hat. but through sheer terrible luck he gets thrown into the worst situations imaginable and yet unintentionally helping the Imperium by huge amounts and looking like a hero while doing it thanks to his huge charisma, excellent fighting skills, a deep sense of paranoia, a loyal aid with no hygiene standards, and a sharp mind. allot a luck too if you ask me.

it is entertaining though every page, including the comments from Inquisitor Amberley Vail from the Ordo Xenos who is releasing these 'memoirs' and adds her two cents where she deems it necessary to clear things up and also plays her part in the stories Cain narrates.

FIND IT READ IT LOVE IT REPEAT

Ach.... That's the one that really screwed with me as a child. Because of that one line about how "once a man declares his goals" I don't remember how it goes, damn, this comment really sucks... What I remember about the line was what it meant anyway, that once you let other people know what your plans are, it's in their nature to block you. As a little kid, the obvious truth of it struck me like a thunderbolt.

You mean George Orwell, right?

And both are great books. I don't hold onto many books because I don't have a lot of space, but those two I still have copies of. :)

The Pendragon seies and Eyes Like Stars (along with the sequels) are pretty incredible in my opinion. Both are fantasy books that link impossible fantasies to the real world and are written by amazing authors.
