If it's an interesting Forum thread or less than 10 pages, I'll skim through all the posts.
But usually, I just read through the first one-two pages and the last page and then write something of my own.
I'd like to read every comment (if I'm lucky, I'll find a "diamond in the rough") but it's definitely a time consuming task.

Sometimes i do, it depends.

Sometimes I do, to make sure I didn't make any spelling mistakes or something grammar related or to read other posts along with mine.

I wonder why people call topics.. "Forums"

I always thought a forum was a general place you go to post then you actually post TOPICS or THREADS.

Out of fairness, forums is also a valid mention for the subject. This thread, for instance, is in the subforum of General Discussion. (Obvious, I know, but follow me. I won't be long.) Now, there are some people who post to this GD forum without actually reading the posts, be it that they read a subject and jump in with a reply, or they create a new thread without checking to see if it already exists. So it could be said that they are posting without actually reading the forum, though the former is also guilty of not reading the thread.

This thread explains pretty much, why some post's 99% of the people are saying the exact same stuff ;D
