Can't say I've ever suffered from "PADS." I'll get bored a little between seasons, but not depressed.

I've never had it that bad, but I get a little sad when one of my favorite series ends (especially if said ending sucked). But that can be cured by a little ranting via the internet ^^

I have seen anime that made me depressed just because the material is really upsetting. I'm kinda glad when those end.

A feeling of depression experienced after finishing a series of anime. PADS for short.

Symptoms include constant thought of the anime, very deep insight, ignoring the people around you, and feeling drowsy.

Some causes:
Being too attached to the characters
Being able to relate to the anime (For example, high school focused anime)

When a person suffers from PADS, they usually long for the life they had to be like the anime, even though they know it will never become reality.

Have you ever felt like this after finishing and amazing anime? If so respond with your thoughts and what anime brought you to this point in your life.

**Also please refrain in mocking other people if they have these emotions over an anime you feel was boring. I hope for this to be a open topic for people to discuss their emotions and maybe feel a little better after talking about it.**

LOL, yes this has happened to me before. It happened when InuYasha ended because it wasn't finished yet. They hadn't found all the jewel shards yet or defeated Naraku, so yes I was obsessed with the series hoping it would be brought back and have the story finished but it wasn't. Whenever an anime ends I do sometimes get sad, but I accept it has ended and move on to something new.

It's normal to relate so an anime if it's good or for vying for an exciting life :/ well, there's no excuse for being too attached to characters.

I usually move onto the next anime before I get depressed about ending one.

(It's like what they say about a pet dying: getting a new one helps you get over the grief of losing the old one.)

If it leaves me with a feeling it really concluded all it's plot I don't, but if it leaves me hanging or has some major twist near the end it keeps me thinking about it for a day or so, not depressed, just wanting some conclusion. Perfect example: Saki, School Rumble (thought it would be different but it seems I was wrong.), etc.

Well i do get really sad when the anime or manga that i been watching has ended, sometimes i even cry and felt really sad for like a whole day and feel like i am missing it again and miss the time when i was still watching it.

Sometimes because i had so much fun watching it or reading the manga i get lonely and feel like i wish i had this kind of life or have these kind of people around me or wish that i was one of them haha.

I'm definitely suffering from pre-PADS, lol T_T. The thought that Sakamichi no apollon is about to end next week makes me feel like shit already, lol. The story is just like a dream.
