Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this post
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, I'm going to GoDaikoCon with 3 of my friends, I have no idea who I'm going to cosplay as.

I have enough money, but no idea who to be.

I want the cosplay to be good, meaning their close in age to me.

Any good Ideas/Responses are appreciated.

Did I mention the con is in 43 days?!

Well, what series/characters do you like? That seems like the best place to start. Also, what do you mean by having enough money: enough money to buy a costume or enough money to make your own costume? I've never done cosplay, but I know that making something yourself generally tends to be cheaper. If you're making your own costume, what is your skill level: low, mid, high? This will factor into whether you'll want a character with a simple costume versus a character with an elaborate costume.

Kirino from Oreimo.
That's the only good choice out of all the series you like.
You really need to branch out more. There's other animes out there.

Yeah you should watch more genre of anime .

Two , pick a character that is close to your body type the most.

Three,If you are going to buy a costume it will cost you at least over 100.00 dollars.

Four, If you are going to have it made for you for example from China via Ebay , you need more than 7 weeks .

Five If the character wears regular clothes , find something that looks close to it and ask someone to help you modify it. Look at thrift shop or something

Six, If you cosplay as a character DO NOT do it half ass , It just doesn't look good. For example I was just in a convention this past weekend and I saw someone wearing an Akatsuki cloak but you don't know who he is because he doesn't look like any of the Akatsuki character at all. I know cosplaying is for fun ,but its either you put yourself into it or not.

Anyway , is this thread suppose to be here ?
