MW3 Headquarters Ethics

I don't frequent the forums here much, but I have a question and I hope the community here will get me a better answer then I will find elsewhere.

I used to play COD3 MW but have finally upgraded to MW3. IN MW1 when playing headquarters the goal was to capture the headquarters before the other team could. Every once in a while I would play against a team who thought the goal was to secure the area around the HQ without capping the HQ and rack up kills as enemies ran towards the HQ in the hope of capping it. I have played MW3 HQ a few times and it seems that the goal is to not to capture HQ but rather to camp around the HQ and gain kills. Is this the norm in MW3? I find this new approach unethical as the goal is to gain points by capturing the HQ. Am I alone in this belief?

I hope that made sense, and I look forward to your responses.

Camping for kills is very normal across all modes. People actively camp on modes like domination for getting killstreaks, because on modes such as Team Deathmatch or Kill Confirmed, your only objective is to kill so it is harder to obtain killstreaks, whereas on the strategic modes, you can camp only for kills while hoping other players are going for objectives. I myself have done straight up TDMs for getting the Osprey Gunner emblem (15 assault Ospreys), and have also done it by camping objective games. I will tell you that it is much easier to complete strike packages challenges if you are camping on objectives modes. I think you probably ran into some of those people.

As well, it is not considered unfairly play to camp for kills. It's lame and a lot of people done it, I have done it to obtain the MOAB on Kill Confirmed. I know people who only use FMG9 Akimbo and prone camp with radar/claymore for the entire rounds. There isn't much you can do about it besides beating them at their own game.

I think you will enjoy the other game modes a bit more, not that many play HQ in MW3. They could also be doing it just to improve their kill/death ratio. This is frowned upon, but is not in anyway unethical. Unethical gameplay would be abusing glitches, cheating with hacks, or boosting.

Thanks for the input. I suppose you're right about it being ethical, but frowned upon. I tried out some sabotage and it was the same thing. I'm a bit disappointed in that because in MW1 those were very fast paced games when all parties were competing for the objective. I've moved on to Kill Confirmed. I like the faster game play and fewer campers there.

KC is definitely faster with less campers, but you do get the guys who only run around or prone camp with akimbos, I can roll a few names off my head if that tells you how bad it is lol, would you like to play sometime?

I only play on the PC so a Steam handle would be better, unless you've only got PS3 version.
