That's not quite right. The latest volume 10 is still currently being translated and I for one can hardly wait for it.
Well, there's still no news on when volume 10 is going to be translated or even who will do it (apparently this is a busy time of the year for all the translators on the project), so we might have to wait a while, sadly. (Even though I keep checking the SAO page there every day...)

I just kinda take all the skipped time as "grinding" levels, which if you have ever played an MMO, you know is very uninteresting (except in the very rare cases you get a very rare item drop). And either way the Anime can't help skipping time where nothing was written for.
Shame Crunchyroll is a week behind, but I heard in two weeks they should be catching back up (as the channel they have the restriction with will be airing both episodes to also catch up). Either way the conclusion will be unexpected for most of you :).

As an avid gamer of: rts, rpg, mmos, I love animes with the mmo theme it furthers the fantasy that you can be on of the characters.

I really hope the light novels get licensed in the US, but it would take a while for a licensor to catch up to the fan translations. Either way, I've started reading the whole series on my iPad, which is a decent substitute for a physical book.

I loved ep 7! My favourite so far, the romance in it was sweet and happy. I liked the ending of ep 6 too.

I agree, the romance in this one makes it my favorite episode so far as well. I couldn't help cheering for Liz towards the end. I hope she makes an appearance in future episodes and doesn't slide off to the side as other characters tend to be doing.

i love this mmo theme too but sadly after they move to other mmos it's like another type anime - -
I wish they could just stick in SAO and expand the story.

They are their own arcs. The anime is going through side stories that take place before the main story. The only part of the story that was part of first volume was the first episode.
