I didn't find Episode 11 particularly boring because of KiritoxAsuna moments, but it certainly didn't have the sparkle that the previous side stories had. The main story was excellent, some side stories were extremely well done but this one is more towards the non-top tier side stories. 7/10 for me,.

It didn't have that same sparkle the other side stories such as the Silica one had but I think the side story with Yui in Episode 11 becomes a main point later on, or at least a more significant one than the other side stories. Therefore, I think it was needed to flesh out the rest of the later story. That's just me though. Also did you make your own avii? It looks nice.

awesome series, love how it's turning into a romantic one too.. although I hope to God it doesn't turn its focus on the romance too much, gotta be some balance!

having gathered some information on this series (unwillingly) I think the people who think this is just some boring side story might change their minds later

Anyways, AsunaXKirito in this episode was sweet and touching to me to begin with and I also liked

Edit - I really hope there are some people on the outside taking care of the real bodies or they are going to wake up with wicked bed-sores - along with a whole host of other problems from simple "waste" disposal (classy way to put it) ... Hopefully these people were somehow able to be transported to a hospital.

I'm just hoping that the entire SAO experience happened as a event in the span of a second. Two years or more of online events happening in the blink of the eye. This isn't a spoiler as I have no idea about this anime other than I love it.

The 11th episode wasn't too bad. At least it had some form of action. It was nice to see a bit of fluffy moments with Kirito and Asuna. In truth I would've been outraged if they suddenly spur the story into another maximum action event right after Kirito's proposal. And with Yui's appearance, I sense another plot.....

P.S.
Does Yui remind anyone else of Saki?

I made a comment about that a while back, being in the hospital medical field professional myself.

Warning, these info can be graphic.

If I were to write that part of the story , since thousands of players are involve in this , hospital are usually not equiped with this amount of of victim. I would believe they would convert a part of the hospital and everyone is in a ICU type of setting where their EEG and other vital signs are monitored, they will be tubed fed and they will have the rectal bag and a non invassive urine drainage system like a condom catheter for men , for women can be a challenge but there is a counterpart for women . Although diaper are an option , they have to be replaced them very so often .
They may or may have IV , maybe a pic like just have one for immediate use for IVP drugs and fluids.

They are have be turn to their sides every 2 hours, TENS for muscles and passive excercise and stretching of extremities to prevent complication from immobility .
Pulstalie machines on their legs to prevent clot formation due to slow blood flow as a resuslt of slow heart rate from not moving . And Then you have to give them baths.
This is a very expensive hospital bill, so I would say there would be separate facility , like a step down facility , since most of the victim are young and are healthy before this happened , they dont need to be in the hospital forever . This facility they would probably allow relatives to take care of their love one.

These patients can be taken cared at home at home but it almost like a 24 hour monitoring and the family need to do everything like making the liquid diet etc etc etc.
.

So far I am liking this new development of the story , I am reading the manga too but I havent gotten that far yet.

11th episode was meh, it was cool; but it wasn't an episode where I would watch over and over again unlike the 9th and the 10th episode.

Note: this post can be construed as light spoilers, it isn't worth spoilering though because it doesn't give away any of the plot, just answers a few of the more common basic questions about the RW condition of the players.

The one thing you are slightly off on is the low heart rate, iashakezula: Their heart rate in the real world goes up and down based on their activities in the game, so their hearts would still function as if they were active normally (also they sweat, and other subconscious reactions to stress because the nerve gear doesn't block autonomic functions). Their set up isn't quite as graphic as you described due to certain tech advances, but is very similar. I don't think that is worth a spoiler since it doesn't really say anything about... anything (the entire idea gets 3 seconds of time in the LN and then is dismissed as trivial, so meh).

The anime didn't mention it, but they had a short "grace period" which allowed them to be disconnected from the internet and power long enough for them to be moved to hospitals (kirito described it as a terrifying hour of the connection down, being afraid the server crashed and he is going to die without being able to do anything).

Read nihongo? If so... amazon.co.jp has it:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%82%BD%E3%83%BC%E3%83%89%E3%82%A2%E3%83%BC%E3%83%88%E3%83%BB%E3%82%AA%E3%83%B3%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%83%B3%E3%80%8810%E3%80%89%E3%82%A2%E3%83%AA%E3%82%B7%E3%82%BC%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A7%E3%83%B3%E3%83%BB%E3%83%A9%E3%83%B3%E3%83%8B%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B0-%E9%9B%BB%E6%92%83%E6%96%87%E5%BA%AB-%E5%B7%9D%E5%8E%9F-%E7%A4%AB/dp/4048866974/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8

Scanlators must still be working on it, not there on baka tsuki.

Edit: hmm, ships in 2-4 weeks. They have been swamped, almost all volumes are completely out of stock. I am surprised the publisher didn't do a better job of ramping up printing when the anime became so popular.

I just barely finished volume one of the LN but due to my feeling of excitement only compared to that of a child counting down the minutes til christmas eve or even his/her birthday I want to ask if anyone knows if Kirito... I mean Kirigaya Kazuto ever finds Yuuki Asuna again in the real world? Yes I do plan on reading the other volumes, probably this week, but would really want to know if I'll get what I want from this series.

Personally i really loved episode 11 and infact i was kind of hoping for even more fluff then what we got alas it wasn't what i expected but episode 11 could still become my favourite due to the fluff involved and what sense will be a really interesting continuation of SAO. Oh and i'm really looking forward to next Saturday as always.

The thing is with brilliant anime like SOA it never seems to last. I think that if there was an ongoing series like this it could compete against the top top contenders and potentially fill the void of Bleach that recently finished (Thank god because it sucked and the story past that point does too). The thing that comes to mind is giving them a reason to carry it on rather than cutting it down to 22 episodes or something and giving a half-assed story.

I can see SOA being only about that particular arc because of the name and the decent anime you see nowadays are never ongoing. I loved .hack and while they carry some similarities the style and presentation of SOA seems worlds better (No pun intended).

Here's hoping the best anime of this year becomes the best of the decade with a good lifespan. Because we can all dream, 'ey?
