Kenshiro3rd wrote: MyChingChongEggRoles wrote: Ok I will need to justify my reason for this. The reason why the anime is really bad is the lack of plot. I really had no idea what was going on. It's just about a bunch of players being pranked by the creator of the game and is so addicted to the game that they couldn't log out. The players don't actually die in real life by dying in the game. Their accounts just get banned then they have to live a normal life. And as we can see, Kirito and Asuna are so lonely in the real world that they decided to have a relationship on the internet then started having cyber sex. I thought it was way too ridiculous to me so I stopped watching. I thought the cyber sex in runescape were bad enough. I would give a 4/10 to this anime since the graphics and animations were really good. But the storyline and characters were so disappointing I couldn't stand this anime anymore. It might be good for your eyes, but not for mine. Those people DID die. The Creator explained that they were brain dead when Kirito asked him at the end. The reason Asuna didn't die is explained later on. I'm not gonna go into it here because its an uber spoiler. And the reason Kirito didn't die is hinted at by the Creator. He's able to surpass the laws that govern the digital world allowing him to selectively manipulate & ignore them. Kirito is pretty much Neo even down to the part where he is able to carry over his abilities to the real world... just like Neo. As for it not having a plot... *facepalm* Its a character driven narrative focusing on character development more than an overarching plot The fact that you reveal that Asuna doesn't die is a spoiler in itself. >.> Not that I care, I'm happy she didnt die... just DONT tell us why she didnt! |

sorry... she was alive prior to the ep; so how exactly is it spoiler? The only people who it matters to have already seen the ep thus it isn't a spoiler. The only part that is really a spoiler is WHY hence why I chose to leave it out.
Also for future reference what is thew spoiler tag for this site/forum? Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Never mind figured it out X) |

You claim she is a live AFTER episode 14, which IS a spoiler. I'll say it again, I don't mind that you told, but other people do care, and they will bitch and whine about the tiniest spoilers. So please be careful. |

Click to show or hide ![]() she is mentioned... quite a bit. Episode 14 is the most recent episode however the books have gone a LOT further & she along with Kirito are the Series Protagonists. Ergo... not a spoiler. |

You claim she is a live AFTER episode 14, which IS a spoiler. So for someone who has not seen that previous comment, according to your argument, you have spoiled it yourself. Of course Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I don't think its a spoiler, since the two of them were still alive in the final game scene, and then Kirito is alive IRL, so there's no particular reason to believe that she hasn't survived. |

Regarding Episode 14:
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Hmm, don't really liked how they didn't really clear things up towards the ending of this first arc. The starting was okay, but I was disappointed by the cheesy sacrifice and the whole drama that happened between Kirito and Asuna. I mean, why wasn't Asuna's brain fried after she died? Same goes to Kirito and Heathcliff, I didn't really understand that. I mean, I can somewhat think of a theory that involved Heathcliff not wanting to kill Kirito off should he die, but how does that explain Asuna? I would like it better if Klein suddenly used the stone that could revive a person within 10 seconds so that Asuna would be revived, lol. Anyway, it was still a pretty fitting end to a decent first arc, although I felt that the main story deserved more expansion while the side stories should be focused on less. I only thought the not-so-interesting side stories were Silica and the Yui side story also dragged on for quite a while longer than it needed to. |

Des85 wrote: ^Just continue watching it ;) - Ep 14: Didn't like this ep much. It was rushed. It was lame that they didn't show more of the boss battle. It was confusing. First Asuna dies, then Kirito dies but comes back, then they show up in the sky, they're told that they've won, but then Kirito starts to cry and says to Asuna that he promised to get her out alive, then she says some stuff. So I was really confused on if Asuna did live or not becaus of all of that above. In the LN Kirito's family rushed to his room together with docs and nurses when he woke up. Nothing like that happened in the anime. Rushed ep. I totally agree with you, 100%. It is really unfortunate since the anime started off really well and had a lot of potential but it became somewhat cheesy, over-dramatic and rushed towards the end, and a confusing episode 14. |

Truly I havent read the LN yet. But based on what I have seen so far I would say in the battle of the last boss no.. In both batters the boss of that stage and then the last boss of the whole game was quite rushed. I mean sure they had 25 more levels to go but to rush it on point. ;/ I guess they saw no meaning for it. I mean they did spill out most of the love and action already in the last 13 ep so if they furthered it, it will get boring and you will start to notice a loop in story. Kinda like DBZ. -.- If anyone can notice the loop in that story line :3 But as a guy growing up wth DBZ and sutch I put up with it lol super sayin still is awesome to me. ANYWAYS!!! but to the subject at hand. its going to be 25 eps. But I am guessing the Asuna/Kitiko love ends there after ep 15? Tho I cant say that for sure -.- due to the fact I never read the LN :3 I am just thowing a ball park guess that since the platform or if I could say niche of the anime is the fact its all being done in a game world. The lovers will end up playing another game :/ but geez after all the love talk about getting old and living in the RW (Real world) instead of a game they wouldnt go pick another one up. but since they are kids its likely it will happen. :/ due tell me if I am wrong about this without spoiling the goods to some one who hasn't read the LN Thank you.
P.s on this for a over all anime I do say its one that really got me hooked I do like SAO I cant wait for ep15 to show. But I hope season two dosent completely shut down the Asuna/ Kitiko love without a proper ending ;/ Tho I guess you could say that was a good ending in a way if your not picky about it but I do say to there was to much of a gap man!! not to mention that there was not a single person around Kitiko when he woke up.. You would at least figure there would be somone there since over 6,000 players got logged out .. What the parents didnt catch the memo or the doctors for that matter? sheesh!! Ok I nerded out long enough. -cheers ! |

My guess is Ausna is alive because Kirito asked that if he died, to not allow Asuna to kill herself. So she was immune when she ran in to protect Kirito. Now Kirito is alive for beating the game. It's a rather simple answer, and not complicated eh? I haven't read the manga so this is speculation.

@Keiek5
You do have some point in that. But at the same time there is a flaw in that when the creator made her imune it seems that when he stabbed her she still got hurt. A imune player shouldn't be able to get hurt if they are imune. Note that the creator was in imune mode his life no longer went down so it shows clearly that he was imune so that to me seems like a rather big mistake :/. Unless his sword is able to kill imune people. Plus didnt he congratulate both Asuna and Kirito for beating the game so that brings up another theory that it could be that they both survived because of that. It get you thinking. |
