hm episode 15 was great, but once again was really hyped up for the battles but was than disappointed like usual. this anime gatta live up to the battle scene atleast once per arc. the best one so far was the twin blade, but it wasn't that great.

Ep. 15 was a transition episode, I expected 15 to not be anything in particularly spectacular, and for the most part I was right. Setting up the Main Antagonist for the Arc, the Twist, and overarching goal for the next ten episodes in one seamless episode was really a smooth idea, just means we can look forward to more action (spoiler op. aside), for the rest of the season. |

Read the light novels a while back before the anime came out and if the anime's even as good as the books it will be the greatest ever in my opinion.

In my opinion the novel is always the best so I either read it first or last depending on if I find out there a novel before or when Im watching a series. |

If you want all the information for Sword Art Online, you need to read the Manga, and the Light novels, in addition to watching the Anime, there's bits and pieces of information that are mutually exclusive in each medium, but are canon overall in the plot. |

In Kirito's harem, no girl is safe.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Even his sister, sorry I mean cousin. This anime is getting worse by the episode. So many cheap plot tools and whatnot. The whole "every girl in the world is in love with Kirito" feels just dumb. Can't there be like at least 1 girl that isn't all infatuated with him...? Ah well, at least episode 15 introduces someone truly worthy of loathing. What a creep he was. Asuna's parents ain't much better... Nor are they in the light novels, if anything they are worse there. Horrible parents who basically abandon their daughter and ignore her wishes. Then again, I guess it is just the author's cheap way of making us cheer for the "best animu couple evah!!11" and give the idea that "the entire world" is against them. |

Horrible parents who basically abandon their daughter and ignore her wishes. Then again, I guess it is just the author's cheap way of making us cheer for the "best animu couple evah!!11" and give the idea that "the entire world" is against them. That's probably the case. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide since there's a non-canon harem segment in the Light novels. I think the author has no problem goofing around with the pairings at all. But the ramp up of the relationship in the first fourteen episodes isn't so bad, and two years time? That's a fair amount of time to get to know someone. You have to give the author points for their approach to the romantic sub-plots. The bonus here is that they don't overtake the plot, so it doesn't flanderize anyone, until we get to the ALO Arc. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide then Asuna gets the flanderization treatment, and her character gets a little derailed for a while, but nothing to far out of what we've seen from her so far. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide even with his cousin, even though we haven't seen their build up quite yet. |

To be honest, without the Volumes this anime would have been a flop. I mean really: skipped fights, plot holes everywhere, lack of characterization. If you're not a manga reader, you are screwed.

Which is probably why there are also weird genes coming from japan. You may want to crack open your Bible (specifically to Leviticus 18) and try and find any prohibition of cousins marrying; you won't find one. Any prohibitions or disapproval of marriage between cousins in Christian cultures is strictly a secular creation. FYI, the odds of any birth defects from a union between first cousins is about the same as for any woman over age 40 giving birth. I wonder how many people would push to make that illegal. |

I didnt read the LN until after the SAO arc was finished, I was hooked, I thought the pace was exceptional and it fits for the kind of anime it is. I dont think making the first arc super long covering everything they did from Floor1-End would have been smart anyways. |

Its pace is quite unorthodox but in my opinion, the anime was executed well. It held my interest although I havn't read the LN until the first arc ended. With the holes and gaps within the SAO arc story allows (in my opinion makes the anime more interesting) viewers to think outside the box on what happened in between the time lapses. After reading the LN, it was refreshing to see all the missing detail that was left out. I do wish battles werent skipped though =_=.
