with almost being at the end of the series I really pray for a 2nd season to adapt the later novels

They possibly could do a 2nd season (I hope they do). There is enough material for it.
Another thing, though, that I hope they do is do the season like this:
The first 15-16 episodes will be GGO.
The next 3-4 episodes will be Caliber.
The last episodes will be Mother's Rosario.

Or they could do just one season of GGO and the rest OVA .

But I sure hope they listen to the fans and make the next arc into a series.

Is it only me or did they change the design of that room significantly from how it was presented in the Novel?

I read the light novels a somewhat long time ago. I think the anime is missing a big chunk of the story. If you've read the light novel here's what I mean:

Yeah I don't know how I feel about the omission of Jotunheim from the anime.

There wasn't really all that much that happened in there that was very important or integral to the main plot, but it still would have been kind of cool to see. I'm guessing that there were time constraints that they were working with since that would have probably needed a couple of episodes to do it in, and we're approaching the end of the season.

The place they fell into was removed for lack of time. presumably if they need to show the Calibur Side story in the future they would have the original incident presented in a flashback.

Another enjoyable episode, the end was deeeeep!! I hope they don't end this, but it feels like they have rushed the series so I don't know

Nah, that's pretty much EXACTLY how I envisioned that room to be from reading the light novel. So far they have done an amazing job of keeping in line with the original story. They did skip out the whole "under the world tree" segment though, made me a little sad but I understand why they'd leave that out.

emotions really ran high this ep with Kirito and Sugu making that identity revelation and what it means for their relationship

could anyone who has read the light novels up to this point make a comparison between the two? like does the anime adapt the light novels faithfully? just curious

It is actually pretty close to how I see it too maybe the , area is indeed wide but I would have thought the vining roots much bigger .

I actually went back to the novel and at the same time llistening to that fight against the guradians. Man I was having goosebumps.

Also I did that to the last scene between Suguha and Kirito , I was having goosebumps and about to cry . Yes it is very close, the only part they didnt put emphasis on was when Suguha removed the Amusphere and held it tight , she was actually thinking of destroying it and throw it on the bed before she got up but other than that , its as it is written

I've read everything except for the SAO side stories and Alicization (So I've read the original SAO story, ALO, GGO, and Mother's Rosario).

I'm pretty amazed by how faithful the anime has been in their adaptation to this point. Other than like has already been said; their omission of a sizable trek they made in a dungeon under the world tree. I can't really find any large flaws.
