The 1080p stream is ~550mb, the 720p is ~320mb. Both (according to their bitrates & resolution) are considered lossless under h.264. There really shouldn't be any difference. Bluray also uses h.264 for its compression so it's not like it's really different anyway. I use a 20" monitor that's at 1600x900 so I can really see when things are compressed and as far as I can tell, SAO (and all CR anime at 720p) doesn't suffer from many compression issues. I don't have a bluray player on my laptop, but i have things that are SEVERELY overpowered with the bitrate to prevent quality loss (bought them from Zune) and I don't see a difference when I run the same episodes through another compressor (at similar settings to CR anime) to make the filesize smaller. Occasionally I do it a bit wrong and some artifacts occur, but that's rare and I usually don't care cause it's something I've already bought and I'm keeping the smaller ones just to watch again later. Basically, you'd have to be looking for the compression and go frame by frame. Something that's high motion tho, that's a bit easier to spot. But most of the time, any source is going to have that problem because that's something that you have to overpower with the bitrate to make sure it stays "lossless"
